@clickandconnect.au started from a small idea to get creatives together simply to ‘Play’ without any rules ✨ but it has become SO much more than that.

Around 50% of us are photographers, professional and hobbyist alike, with small business owners and likeminded creatives making up the other 50%.

It’s become a space to connect

A place to experiment and try new ideas

And ALWAYS lots of laughs!

It’s a space that whether you’ve been there multiple times, or you’re new to Perth and want to connect with likeminded slightely unhinged 🤣 creatives, it’s always there.

You’ve decided you’re not photogenic. But have you ever questioned why? 👀📸

When we don’t like a photo of ourselves, how often do we blame our appearance before questioning the lighting, the direction we’ve been given, or whether we even felt comfortable in front of the camera?

We think we look awkward.
We decide we don’t know how to pose.
We question our confidence.

But what if we’ve been judging ourselves without ever giving ourselves the chance to experience being photographed differently?

With over a decade of experience behind the camera, I’ve seen how much the experience itself can influence how someone feels about their photos.

That’s why Alicia from @innerqueenconfidence and I are creating Camera Confidence. 🤍

A space to explore how you move, express yourself and feel in front of the camera. To challenge the beliefs you’ve made about yourself, try something new and perhaps see yourself a little differently.

Because this isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about giving yourself the opportunity to be seen in a new light.

I didn’t always believe this, but a COMMUNITY around you really does make everything better ✨ because you should never feel like your growing, creative or managing on your own 🫶🏼

This is exactly WHY I create creative and safe spaces like @clickandconnect.au 🎉 because sometimes we just need a space where there are no rules, no deadlines, just play and curiousity!

The next @clickandconnect.au isn’t until December 6th, but if community and confidence in front of the camera is something you’re craving, I have some exciting news!🎉😎✨

CAMERA CONFIDENCE is a workshop @aliciajvs from @innerqueenconfidence and I are hosting on OCTOBER 17th at this beautiful space @_hoodstudio_ And it’s something I’m proud to be creating along side another create who is passionate about empowering women and creating safe spaces.

C+C is about creating, but this workshop is completely open to anyone why is curious to set aside some time for themselves, explore ways to be more comfortable in front of the camera AND also get updated professional photos in the process!

As a photographer, I started out wanting to create and express my own ideas, but after over 14 yrs in the industry I realised it was never about me, but rather the people around me and what they need.

I want women to stop saying they’re not photogenic.

I want women to not be afraid to make time for themselves.

And I think women need more photos of themselves, so they can themselves from an outside perspective.

It may never feel like the right time, but if this resonates with you and you’re willing to trust a couple of passionate creatives to give you some great mindset and posing hacks AND the photos to prove that you’re bigger than your insecurities,

You might think that photos are good because YOU look good, but what if you look that good, because you feel even better?

They may like the makeup, but I like that I made time for self-care that morning ☀️

They might love the haircut, but I’m feeling good because of the freedom and the change that’s been long overdue.

Do you smile most when you’re proud? Or when you’re happy? There’s no right or wrong answer, but as a passionate creative I love being able to ask the questions that make people a bit more curious.

What you project is so much more than how you look and I think it’s time we had more conversations like this for people to search deeper.
