Would you call this a ‘Director’ or ‘Hollywood’ chair?

Either way it’s probably my favourite prop of the month 🤣📸 and at @_hoodstudio_ there’s 2 of them 😎👌

@saltyblissphotography thanks for being my muse at last months @clickandconnect.au 🎉 plans for December and our final C+C for 2026 are well underway 🎉

If you haven’t booked with me at @_hoodstudio_ , you’re missing out on this ICONIC arch entryway 😎

I’ve shot in the hallway a lot lately, but here’s some recent work from my last months @clickandconnect.au event with @hazecounselling 📸

Who knew an arched entryway could inspire such a diverse range of images? ✨

There are only 2 days in November I have available before @_hoodstudio_ shuts their doors for their Christmas Mini’s…. Comment 🤩 if you’re ready to your last chance to shoot here for 2026 🎉

At 10, I wanted to be a journalist or costume designer.

At 15, I wanted to be a singer. I taught myself guitar, wrote songs and dreamed of helping people through my music. Songwriting was my therapy, and my artist name was going to be Daniche. 🤍

Funny how life works, isn’t it?

If you don’t already know me, my names Danni I didn’t realise my career was becoming photography until, gradually, it did. And somewhere along the way, all those other parts of me came with it.

14 years later, I’m a photographer who can sew, do hair and makeup, organise an event, bring a concept to life and happily spend hours getting to know someone’s story.

I’ve learnt that everyone has a story. It’s not right or wrong, and it might change tomorrow, but it’s always worth sharing and celebrating.

And while my songs might not heal people in the way I’d once imagined, I still found a way to create things that empower, connect and inspire.

That 15-year-old version of me wanted to help people feel less alone through something she created.

I think, in a way, she got her wish. 🥹

Today, @danichecreative is about so much more than taking a photograph. It’s about helping people, businesses and brands understand what makes them *them*, then finding creative ways to communicate that with the world 🌍

Between being a wife, small business owner, avid op shopper, mental health advocate and founder of @hercreative.mindset, I’ve learnt that we’re never just one thing. We’re made up of all the experiences, interests and little detours that brought us here.

So, yes, I’m a photographer. But I’m also a creative, a storyteller, a problem solver and your personal hype girl🎉

Got an idea living rent-free in your head? Let’s have a chat. I’d love to hear your story ✨

You’ve decided you’re not photogenic. But have you ever questioned why? 👀📸

When we don’t like a photo of ourselves, how often do we blame our appearance before questioning the lighting, the direction we’ve been given, or whether we even felt comfortable in front of the camera?

We think we look awkward.
We decide we don’t know how to pose.
We question our confidence.

But what if we’ve been judging ourselves without ever giving ourselves the chance to experience being photographed differently?

With over a decade of experience behind the camera, I’ve seen how much the experience itself can influence how someone feels about their photos.

That’s why Alicia from @innerqueenconfidence and I are creating Camera Confidence. 🤍

A space to explore how you move, express yourself and feel in front of the camera. To challenge the beliefs you’ve made about yourself, try something new and perhaps see yourself a little differently.

Because this isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about giving yourself the opportunity to be seen in a new light.

✨ Learn posing and movement
✨ Explore confidence and self-expression
✨ Connect with like-minded girls
✨ Walk away with professional portraits taken by @danichecreative 📸

You don’t need to arrive feeling confident. You don’t need to know how to pose. And you certainly don’t need to consider yourself photogenic.

What if you tested that theory? 🤍

What if I told you that not being photogenic was a mindset?

What if it was a theory you could test for yourself?

Try a new pose, something that comes more naturally to you…

Let someone else see what you can’t quite see yet.

Or talk about how you want to be seen

and what you want your photos to say about you

I didn’t always believe this, but a COMMUNITY around you really does make everything better ✨ because you should never feel like your growing, creative or managing on your own 🫶🏼

This is exactly WHY I create creative and safe spaces like @clickandconnect.au 🎉 because sometimes we just need a space where there are no rules, no deadlines, just play and curiousity!

The next @clickandconnect.au isn’t until December 6th, but if community and confidence in front of the camera is something you’re craving, I have some exciting news!🎉😎✨

CAMERA CONFIDENCE is a workshop @aliciajvs from @innerqueenconfidence and I are hosting on OCTOBER 17th at this beautiful space @_hoodstudio_ And it’s something I’m proud to be creating along side another create who is passionate about empowering women and creating safe spaces.

C+C is about creating, but this workshop is completely open to anyone why is curious to set aside some time for themselves, explore ways to be more comfortable in front of the camera AND also get updated professional photos in the process!

As a photographer, I started out wanting to create and express my own ideas, but after over 14 yrs in the industry I realised it was never about me, but rather the people around me and what they need.

I want women to stop saying they’re not photogenic.

I want women to not be afraid to make time for themselves.

And I think women need more photos of themselves, so they can themselves from an outside perspective.

It may never feel like the right time, but if this resonates with you and you’re willing to trust a couple of passionate creatives to give you some great mindset and posing hacks AND the photos to prove that you’re bigger than your insecurities,

DM or comment ‘OCTOBER’ to receive the ticket 🎫 and registration link 🔗

“What I don’t tell you often enough is…” 👀

I obviously would say GET A PHOTOSHOOT 📸😂
But sure, there are lots of other things we should share with the people around us too. 🥰

And while we’re at it — let’s keep supporting small businesses.
Because behind every small business is a person with a big idea, a story, and something that can genuinely make life a little better. ❤️

Check out wonderful @hazecounselling, captured at recent @clickandconnect.au event 🤍

@_hoodstudio_ is an amazing location and if you love these images, you might just need to get a ticket 🎫 to the ‘Camera Confidence’ workshop @aliciajvs and I are hosting on OCTOBER 17th because this is where we’ll be! 📸

There are too many new pics to choose from between @clickandconnect.au and my recent studio fun with @bykate.creative but we’ve got to start somewhere 😎

You might think that photos are good because YOU look good, but what if you look that good, because you feel even better?

They may like the makeup, but I like that I made time for self-care that morning ☀️

They might love the haircut, but I’m feeling good because of the freedom and the change that’s been long overdue.

Do you smile most when you’re proud? Or when you’re happy? There’s no right or wrong answer, but as a passionate creative I love being able to ask the questions that make people a bit more curious.

What you project is so much more than how you look and I think it’s time we had more conversations like this for people to search deeper.

If you’re curious, want to explore what it feels like to be more confident at showing up and would love to hear first hand experiences as well as some guided time in front of the lens you better 📍 pin this one in the diary 👌

Cat’s out of the bag 💇‍♀️✂️

Photographers are always looking for something new, so I figured I’d keep things fresh around here 😉 and let you in on the new look I’ve been secretly rocking for the last week or so 🤣

This is your reminder that you have absolutely NO obligation to be the same person you were yesterday ✨

and every time you step in front of a camera, just know it’s an opportunity to claim who you are! Who’s with me? ✨🎉😎

Thanks @bykate.creative for capturing this moment 👌
