I had the pleasure of teaching a photo zine workshop at @icp’s Community Day in partnership with @centerforbookarts!

This workshop was designed to work in tandem with ICP’s current exhibitions, Yves Saint Laurent and Photography and Photobooks USA 2000-25. This class was especially special for me because it acted at intersection of everything I love: fashion, photography, and zines. 🤍

Participants learned how to cut and fold three different zine formats and practiced on three new fashion photo zines I designed using photos from ICP’s permanent collection and current exhibitions. Described as serendipitous, it was incredible to see so many people spontaneously drop in and stay for hours to make their first ever zine(s).

A weekend of Art Print Fairs ! IFPDA in Manhattan. Silk screening with the Fabric Workshop, meeting William Kentridge’s printer, a beautiful print by Pat Steir were just some of the highlights! The Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair in Gowanus had so many printmakers’ books and innovative prints using more than one process. There was even a print outside as we left that was amazing! by @clockworkprint

a while ago, my lovely friend @junjingjok and i, along with other wonderful queer artists on campus came together to create Queer Joy Forever Vol I.

it was my first ever zine and most important. every year, the need for this zine arises. at least a thousand copies, and hopefully many more, have been made and spread over campus and NY.
