Cloud Forest Collective 🌿
Jungle inspired plants

We’re Alex and Colton, the husband and wife behind Cloud Forest Collective. Two plant people who started collecting together and apparently have never been very good at knowing when enough is enough. 😂

It started with plants we wanted for ourselves. Then came the rare plants, the imports, tissue cultures, propagation… and a lot of “okay but LOOK at this one.”

Eventually we started selling a few...that got out of hand too. 😂

But really, Cloud Forest Collective started because we love this hobby. We love finding something we’ve never seen before, watching a tiny plant grow into something amazing, and sharing that excitement with people who completely understand it.

What we didn’t expect was the community that came with it.

Somehow our little plant business turned into a whole Forest Fam of people hanging out with us during lives, laughing at our nonsense, sharing their plants with us, and just being genuinely excited about this stuff right alongside us.

We started this because we love plants. We definitely didn’t expect to love the community around it just as much.

We’re really freaking grateful for you guys!

Thanks for being here, Forest Fam. by @cloud_forest_collective

A little birthday celebration this weekend admiring a different kind of plants than usual!🌲Clearly our plant obsession extends beyond houseplants 😅

We’re taking Friday and Saturday off from our usual lives and we already miss our Forest Fam, but will see you all Sunday with a fresh drop of tissue cultures! 💃🏼🎉 by @cloud_forest_collective

I could look at begonias all day 😍 The fuzzy ones, the ✨glittery✨ ones, the polka dots, the metallic leaves… somehow they just keep getting weirder and cooler.

Colton used to HATE them because of the asymmetrical leaves. Now they’re one of his favorites, which is a fun little fact I definitely don’t bring up every chance I get 😂

Come look at pretty begonias with us on Palmstreet this Saturday at 3pm. Link in bio to bookmark so you don't miss it! ✨ taken in Cloud Forest Collective by @cloud_forest_collective

PlantCon weekend 🥹

Wow, what an amazing weekend!! We had SO much fun vending at PlantCon and getting to meet so many of our wonderful Forest Fam in person. Seeing familiar usernames turn into actual humans was the coolest thing! 🥹

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our bit of the forest, bought a plant, said hi, or came to hang out with us for a bit. We seriously have the coolest plant community and we’re beyond grateful you’re here.

Until next time, PlantCon 💃🏼 by @cloud_forest_collective

Breaking news: We exercised self-control!

Against all odds, all 5 Monstera Devil Monsters made it onto our website and Palmstreet instead of disappearing into our personal collection. 💃🏼

This may never happen again. Please buy them before we come to our senses 😂

Shipment day is basically just a competition to see who caves first.

Before the box arrives:
“We’re selling all of them.”

After the box is open:
“…okay, but THIS one.”

Every. Single. Time. 😂

Thankfully we don’t have room to keep all of them… so after we steal a couple for ourselves, the rest will be up for grabs during our Saturday Palmstreet Live at 3 PM! by @cloud_forest_collective

Collector plants without the collector guilt. ✨

Plants this gorgeous shouldn’t be this affordable, but we’re doing it anyway💃🏼

Join us LIVE Fridays at 6:30 PM and Saturdays at 3:00 PM for rare finds, fresh tissue cultures, giveaways, and deals you’ll probably be texting your plant friends about.

IT’S OFFICIAL.

Cloud Forest Collective is heading to PlantCon Seattle August 15th–16th! 🥹

If you had told us a few years ago that our little plant obsession would grow into this, we never would have believed you. What started as a love for rare plants has turned into an incredible community, and we honestly wouldn’t be here without all of you.

Thank you to every person who has joined a live, placed an order, shared a post, left a review, stopped by our booth, or simply cheered us on along the way. Every bit of support has helped us grow into something bigger than we ever imagined.

We’re already planning some very special plants for Seattle, and we cannot wait to meet so many of you in person. 🌿

Our Accountant: “Where does all your money go?”

Us: “Research and development.”

The research: buying rare plants.
The development: buying more rare plants. by @cloud_forest_collective

Rare plant collectors have two settings:

1. I should save money.
2. I LOVE IT.

There is no third option.

Every plant in this video has the Michael Scott seal of approval. 😂 by @cloud_forest_collective

Every collector has a weakness.

Some people can’t resist variegation.

Some people can’t resist giant leaves.

And some of us apparently lose all self control when a plant starts sparkling. 🙋🏼‍♀️

We will be introducing this sparkly little showoff during tomorrow's Palmstreet live ✨ taken in Vancouver, Washington by @cloud_forest_collective
