Such a pleasure to welcome people to our new audiovisual installation Rhythms and Reflections at #spurnlighthouse yesterday! This installation is the result of a 2 year long research and development project between sound artist @justinmorey23 and Ruthie Ford of Cloud Nine. Together we walked the land at Spurn Point, explored, spoke to local people and visitors. We visited in all seasons and all weathers. The work is our audiovisual impression of this amazing place. The project has been kindly supported by @leedsbeckettofficial and @yorkshirewildlifetrust_

The installation is open from now until 21st September 2025 whenever the lighthouse is open which is all Saturdays and Sundays and occasional weekdays, contact @yorkshirewildlifetrust_ for more info. Spurn Point is an absolutely magical place for lovers of landscape, nature, history, lighthouses, old buildings, sea, beaches, bird life, flora, fauna, fresh air.. even if you don't see the installation we implore you to visit this strange and wonderful place ✨

Lost Village Crew Appreciation Post

A huge shout out to our brilliant crew @lostvillagefestival this year. Such a talented bunch of people to have on board! Scenic painters, set builders, set dressers, installation artists, venue dressers, seamstresses, riggers, makers of surreal and authentic immersive spaces. Hot chocolate artists, morning stretchers, mannequin stylists, appliers of vinyl logos under a tarp in the rain, painters of miles of concrete and brickwork and makers of miles of flats, hangers of ceilings, boat maneuverers, hangers of cars in trees and late night cardboard box production liners. It was an absolute pleasure to have you all on board, thank you all of your hard work, good vibes and positivity, you all completely smashed it!

In August we were back @lostvillagefestival for another year of magic and mayhem. New this year: a fully authentic 360° secret warehouse party space, a complete overhaul of our long time favourite area, The Junkyard, a trippy colour changing abandoned fairground ride. Plus the reinstall and reworking of so many magical spaces across the site. 48 artists, makers and doers doing what they do best and making weird and beautiful things all over the place. Watch this space for more posts over the coming weeks but for now here’s a taster of what we got up to…

A site-specific immersive installation exploring the entangling of life and death in Sheffield's General Cemetery.

INTERTWINING combines soundscape and electronic music with film, glitch and photography. The installation weaves heritage and biodiversity in a landscape where the graves of the departed are enveloped by the abundant flora and fauna of a nature reserve.

The installation has been created by @mattykgreen @justinmorey23, @rubyfox___ @cloudninedecor

Please note we have extended opening hours until 8pm so that you can enjoy the installation in Samuel Worth Chapel as the light turns to dusk. taken in Samuel Worth Chapel by @cloudninedecor

5 of our favourite things in one installation: colour, reflections, fabric, shiny things, hanging things 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Glad to be working on this beautiful tent ceiling for the excellent @joanna_mary_mountain.

A magical day in the sun with this week’s artist residents, Ruthie Ford and Emma McGeehan!

Together in the woods, they created a living cloak and crown, inviting people to step into a space of complete immersion in nature, to feel it, wear it, and reflect on what that connection means to them.

Using only natural materials, the pieces combined floristry and textiles and a chance to experiment, play, and reimagine how we relate to the living world around us. taken in Wild Rumpus by @cloudninedecor

Days 1-3 of our @cloudninedecor x @orchisfloraldesign residency at the amazing @_wildrumpus woods! What luxury to get a whole week in the woods to explore new ideas and make new art. Bluebells, tiny caravans, sycamore buds, birds, pubs!

The most belated team shout out ever, sorry everyone! @lostvillagefestival last August we were lucky enough to once again work with an exceptional team of artists, makers and doers. We had loads of new spaces for 2025 so it was a full on couple of weeks but everyone worked incredibly hard and went above and beyond to make sure that everything looked as excellently, wonkily, weird and wonderful as we intended. Thanks everyone, you smashed it!! ⭐✨⭐✨⭐
