Apparently I do Monarch Uber now; pickup was in the middle of my street. Please rate me 5 stars, lady, since you narrowly missed getting squashed and you forgot to tip. by @clt_style

If you've asked: Why do we need to learn this history now? or How can any healing come from it? ... Please come this Thursday at 6 to the Beatties Ford library to hear an incredible panel answering those questions, moderated by @justinperrycounseling. @thecharlottepost hosts the discussion, and you'll see the short project film. 40 years with @gary.schwab.32 Grateful to surpass Isbell/Shires' aspirational "Vampires" number (hit Aug. 9, 2024, to be exact) -- but would very much like to lap it a few times, please. ❤️ by @clt_style

Doris Schwab was a strong-willed woman who wanted to know what was good with you and how you planned to celebrate it. She had some ideas, in case you didn’t, and they often involved balloons. After spending the ‘50s as a young mom who looked like a ‘40s movie star, she got into working with seniors, and created a ground-breaking career helping senior citizens stay young, and pulling those who got left out back in. That often involved balloons, too, but also mystery bus trips, luaus, Senior Olympics, dressing up like a kangaroo and other shenanigans. It worked. She loved deeply, wanted things how she wanted them, gave remarkable gifts, created magic wherever possible, and, with Fred, raised three amazing humans. She was a remarkable mother-in-law, a doting grandmother and a peerless character. Godspeed, Doris. We know Fred’s got the light on for you. by @clt_style
