What a fantastic day celebrating Farm Day in the City! One of my favourite annual celebrations of the incredible people, products and place that make Canada’s Food Island so special.

From the farmers, fishers and producers who grow and harvest our food, to the makers, chefs and communities who bring it to our tables today is such a beautiful reminder of how deeply food connects us.

Proud of our Island. Proud of our food community. And so grateful for the passionate people behind it all. ❤️

There’s something powerful about passionate people who care deeply about great food — and understand its ability to bring us together. ❤️

What a feast! What a @fallflavourspei experience. And what a beautiful reminder that some of the best moments happen gathered around a table, sharing food family-style.

So grateful to Jessie from Bonafide Media & PR for connecting Canada’s Food Island and ADA Culinary Studio with the incredibly talented Chef Sheldon Simeon — and for taking me as her date! Chef Adam & his ADA culinary studio team partnering with Chef Sheldon made for an extraordinary 10+ course meal that I will be dreaming about for a while showcasing all of the island best with incredible Hawaiian flare! Chef Sheldon even brought pineapple and flavours all the way from Maui to Canada’s Food Island for one incredible dinner.

From chill & grill oysters and fire-cooked mussels to kalbi ribs, Kauai lobster, Huli Huli chicken, BBQ pork and so much more, every dish told a story of flavour, culture, creativity and incredible ingredients.

But what made the evening truly special was the people, the passion and the connection around the table.

That’s the power of food. It brings people, places and cultures together and creates memories that last long after the last plate is cleared. ❤️

An inspiring evening in Charlottetown with Sam Demma. So much wisdom shared about leadership, purpose, connection and the impact we can have when we choose to show up intentionally.

What if we’ve been grocery shopping the wrong way all along? Instead of asking “What should I buy?”, try asking:

✔️ What will solve breakfast?

✔️ What will make lunches easier?

✔️ What healthy snacks will actually get eaten?

✔️ What can I turn into quick dinners?

This week, I challenged myself to see how much $20 worth of fresh fruits and veggies could do here in Prince Edward Island and the results surprised me.

My biggest money-saving tip? Shop the weekly flyer and choose fruits and vegetables that are in season. You’ll often get more for your money, reduce food waste, and make it easier to fill half your plate with produce throughout the week.
