This past weekend, we celebrated Keagan turning 21! It was filled with fun, love, sunshine, friends, and family, just what he needed.
21 years ago, you made me a mom to one incredible little boy who has grown into an even more incredible man. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. You make us laugh, challenge us, keep us on our toes, and remind us every day how proud we are to call you our son.
You’ve always had a heart that’s bigger than you let on, a sense of humor that can make anyone laugh (even when you’re trying not to 😂), and a quiet strength that has carried our family through both the best moments and the hardest ones. We admire the man you’re becoming more than you’ll ever know!
You’ll always be our little boy, no matter how many birthdays, beards, or legal beverages come your way. Just remember... your parents (or at least we think) are still faster than your poor decisions. 😅🍻
Thank you for being exactly who you are. Never lose your kindness, your loyalty, your goofy personality, or your ability to make the people around you smile.

Happy 19th Heavenly birthday, sweet Karlie.

Today marks another year without you here, and it still doesn’t feel real. Time keeps moving forward, the days keep passing, and life continues to progress…but our hearts are still standing in the place where we last had you here with us. If anything, we miss you more with every single day that goes by.

People say time makes it easier, but this second year has somehow been even harder than the first. The shock may have faded, but the reality has settled in deeper and the ache of not being able to hug you, laugh with you, celebrate you, and watch you grow has become heavier.

But one thing time will never change is how deeply we love you. That love hasn’t slowed down. It hasn’t faded. It hasn’t stopped for even a moment and I promise you it never will.

We hope you know, Karlie, you are still so present in our lives. We see you in the little signs you send, in the moments that feel too perfectly timed to be coincidence. You remind us every day that you are still with us, still shining, still surrounding us with your light.

I hope Heaven is celebrating you in the most beautiful way today. I hope you’re dancing, smiling, and glowing the way only you can. And I hope you feel how loved you still are, how missed you are, and how much of our hearts you will always hold. We love you baby girl.

Ahhh…Covid, online dance classes, quarantine... Things that seemed like such a pain back then, don’t get me wrong Covid was not easy.
