On the evening of World Suicide Prevention Day, Sept. 10, CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention staff supported the @annualbridge_of_life event in Edmonton. Since 2016, the event has brought people together in community to honour loved ones lost to suicide, foster healing, and raise awareness for suicide prevention.

After sunset, the event concluded with a memorial walk and candlelight vigil across Edmonton’s High Level Bridge, which was lit in orange to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

We are so grateful to take part in the 10th anniversary of this event. Thank you @momentumcounselling.yeg, @cmhaedmonton, and everyone who contributed and joined us for this special night. Thank you to Edmonton Mayor Andrew Knack, MLAs @janis.irwin and @dshepyeg, and Councillor @mikeelliottyeg for attending and sharing thoughtful words of support! 🩵 by @cmhaab
