We Need Your Vote! 💙

Exciting news! 🎉 CMHA Central Alberta's project, The Community Connection Project: Bringing Mental Health Support Closer to Home, has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 Field Law Community Fund Program!
If successful, this funding will help us expand our Connection Caravan outreach program, bringing mental health support, education, and meaningful conversations directly to rural and smaller communities across Central Alberta where access to services can be limited.

How can you help?
✅ Vote for our project here: https://www.fieldlaw.com/.../the-community-connection...

✅ Share this post with your friends, family, and community networks

✅ Encourage others to vote too!

📅 Voting is open until November 20. You can vote for multiple projects, with one vote per device per idea.

Every vote helps raise awareness about mental health and supports our mission to make services and education more accessible throughout Central Alberta.

Thank you for standing with us and helping bring mental health support closer to home.

💙 Together, we can make a difference.

"Sunshine for a cloudy day"

Crafting/creating can be a great way to help reset & refocus your brain. This week try to set aside some time where you can draw/paint/colour and give your brain a break.

(Remember it's not the outcome but the journey that brought us there)

💝September 21st is World Gratitude Day!💝

To celebrate try starting a gratitude journal!

A gratitude journal is what the name suggest, a journal dedicated to gratitude.

Journaling can be a great way to ground oneself. Maintaining connection and a sense of 'realness' in our busy schedules.

To get started:

1. find a paper and something to write with (We recommend writing over typing, but use what you have available to you)
2. Pause the Video
3. Choose at least one of the following prompts, or create your own.
4. Write an answer to the prompt(s)
5. Read over your answer(s) & try to expand on what you wrote.
6. Remember this is YOUR journal, it doesn't have to perfect, you can write as little or as much as you want.

Save this video for later to return to these prompts at your convivence.

If you found this video helpful, let us know by leaving a comment, or by sharing with a friend!😊

🙏THANKFUL THURSDAY🙏

This Thankful Thursday we want to acknowledge the Amazing Student Staff we were able to have over the Summer, thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs Grant under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Initiative!

This Summer we were able to have 2 Student Positions: an Administrative Assistant and a Communications & Marketing Assistant!🎉

👋You may have noticed our Administrative Assistant, Easton, at the receptionist desk greeting you when visiting our office downtown for a Recovery College course.

Or

🖥️You may have noticed the increase in our social media presence thanks to our Communications & Marketing Assistant, Kalena!

They helped CMHA - Central Alberta so much this Summer and we hope they gained some valuable experience as they continue their education and professional lives.

Thank you Easton & Kalena, and good luck on all your future endeavors 💚
