@progresstheseries has been apart of my life for a few years now and it’s been a journey. To be the Assistant Director on this particular project has been an honor. @tmarcellousw you have something very special and I’m so proud of you.

This was such an incredible experience and I’m so grateful that God saw me for for this opportunity. This has got to be one of the most vulnerable things I’ve done all year. To give people a peek into my mind through my writing, had me feeling it ALL! This piece is dedicated to the hairstylists in Detroit, specifically the 90’s hairstylists, THAT was a different time. IYKYK.

This piece is still in development but I got to start it all at @theatrewritenow & I can’t wait to see where it goes! 🖊️

Thank you to my huge cast, made of family, friends, and new creatives I met during this process. Thank you to my director. Thank you to the hairstylists I interviewed. Thank you Goldie. Thank you God for this experience.

Exactly a week ago today, I wrapped up For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf. I was introduced to this work when I was 14 years old and it’s means so much more to me TODAY as a grown woman.

I was stretched, I cried, I laughed, I expanded my taste in music, I’ve added on to my community, and I’m forever grateful!

Baby ain’t nothing like a @darylstewartproductions and what a beautiful ride this was. Friend you did it!

My parents were able to come and in this season in particular I really needed to see them. Thank you God for allowing them to be here with me.

This was the 50th Anniversay of this choreopoem and Ntozake your work is still so meaningful. Thank you for sharing this with us.

And to my cast and the creative team, it was a blessing sharing this experience with you! I love you all!

A moment we’re still holding close.

In collaboration with INFINITEA, Anxious for Nothing brought us together for an evening rooted in honesty, care, and conversation. We had the joy of honoring Andrea Patterson (@andrealavonne)— artist, visionary, and a beautiful reminder of what it means to prepare in the quiet seasons.

Through movement, Amanda Hunt (@nalasoul | @yawdiepilates) guided us into our bodies, reminding us of the power of presence and empowerment through motion. INFINITEA founder Camille Upshaw (@cmillieee) led us through a grounding breathwork session, creating space for stillness and release.
