The Dunes Club in New Buffalo, Michigan, is a private, walking-only 9-hole golf course that began as golf course developer Mike Keiser’s personal retreat in the mid-1980s. Designed with architect Dick Nugent, it was Keiser’s first golf course project and the beginning of a vision that would eventually lead to the world-renowned Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon. With its intimate layout, caddie-supported experience, and commitment to traditional, links-style golf, The Dunes Club is a special reminder that sometimes the purest golf experiences are found in the simplest settings. Honored to have played here and walked this beautiful course. This is hole #1 and #8. #golf #dunesclub #dreamgolf @golfdigest @titleist @taylormadegolf @djiglobal @dji @puremichigan by @cmundychicago
In a concrete jungle…you have to work for your solitude, to find places that remind you of your upbringing, that reflect the rythyms of nature and Mother Earth. Our shoreline and lake is second to none, our parks a constant work in progress. May we celebrate an Indian Summer and an October like no other in recent years. #mychicity #montrosebeach #lakemichigan #chicago #cmundyphotography @choosechicago @chicagomag @atproperties @chicago by @cmundychicago
It is rare to be present for a moment that becomes part of history. On November 4, 2008, I was at Grant Park with Dave Mackenzie, Jeff Becker, and a quarter of a million other Americans. It was an unseasonably warm night for early November, and the energy, excitement, and optimism in the crowd were palpable. I am grateful and blessed to say I witnessed President-elect Barack Obama’s election-night rally and victory speech firsthand. It was a moment bigger than any one person, political party, or election. America had elected its first African American president, and Chicago was at the center of history. Today, Chicago is home to the Obama Presidential Center, a destination worth visiting for locals and tourists alike. More than a museum, the campus includes an impressive main building, gardens, a playground, a branch of the Chicago Public Library, public art installations, nature paths, and a full-size NBA basketball court designed for community use. It is a meaningful investment in Chicago’s South Side and another architectural addition to a city that has always had a remarkable story to tell. #barackobama #obama #obamapresidentialcenter #chicago #cmundyphotography @puffy21 @jefffeybecker @choosechicago @chicago @chicagomag @barackobama @obamafoundation @obamalibrary by @cmundychicago
The Green Mountain State did not disappoint. What an American treasurer. Driving the country back roads reminded us of Northern Michigan, but the topography with the mountains is magical, Lake Champlain is massive, the Vermont dairy farms are vast and well kept, tons of trees, no bill boards (one of only four states that bans them), lots of solar power and classic colonial architecture. Hope to return soon and spend more time in New Hampshire and Maine. #vermont #greenmountainstate #visitvermont #newengland #cmundyphotography @cljaconette @shelburnefarms @americanflatbread @helloburlington @blindtigerburlington @jskis_burlington @vermonttourism by @cmundychicago
A story about love, ice cream, and money. Lots of money. I have always loved ice cream, and I’ve always loved Ben & Jerry’s. But beyond the flavors is a fascinating American story about success, growth, social activism, and the influence of money. Founded in Burlington, Vermont, in 1978, Ben & Jerry’s began in a renovated gas station, selling ice cream cones and pints. Flavors like Cherry Garcia (my personal favorite) and Cookie Dough helped build a beloved brand, but the company’s success was about more than ice cream. It was fueled by Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield’s passion, social activism, grassroots engagement, and creative marketing. The brand felt authentic, genuine, and fun. In 2000, the founders sold the company to Unilever for $326 million. Expansion followed, but so did growing questions about whether the company’s founding values could survive under corporate ownership. In 2025, Jerry Greenfield resigned amid concerns over the erosion of those values. As of today, Ben & Jerry’s is the number one selling brand of ice cream in America. The American corporate and capitalist landscape is littered with similar stories. Businesses built on passion, purpose, and authenticity grow, become valuable, and eventually face the challenge of balancing their original mission with the demands of ownership, profits, and growth. So, here is the question: Can growth, profits, success, and money all live under one roof without sacrificing the values that made a company special in the first place? Or is that the price of success? #icecream #benandjerrys #visitvermont #globalshaman #cherrygarcia @vermonttourism @benandjerrys by @cmundychicago
The Green Mountain State is amazing! With twenty-five public and private ski resorts, I need to come back here when there is snow. We visited Mad River Glen, Sugar Bush and ended up at Stowe. Quaint, charming, steep and technical. Ski Vermont. #stowe #sugarbush #madriverglen #skivermont #visitvermont @vermonttourism @stowemt @sugarbush_vt @madriverglen by @cmundychicago
“The heart and soul of Basin Harbor lie in its dedication of preserving the beauty of the land and providing a warm embrace to generations of guests. The resort boasts a diverse range of accommodations, from inviting guest rooms to quaint cottages across a sprawling 700-acre campus. Throughout the years, Basin Harbor has become synonymous with an array of recreational activities, creating a destination for enthusiasts of golf, water sports, tennis, and more. The resort’s landscape, adorned with historic buildings like the venerable Homestead dating back to the late 19th century, adds to its nostalgic allure. The commitment to maintaining the cultural significance of the property is evident in its role as a venue for weddings, events, and gatherings that foster a sense of community and connection.” The Cline family has been coming to Basin Harbor since 1974. Katie and David met here, and only appropriate to have their wedding celebration at this special place for their family and friends! Thank you to our gracious host, Jane Link. An idyllic autumn weekend in Vermont, with beautiful Basin Harbor as the backdrop, brought Katie & David’s family and friends together to celebrate their love and marriage. I have lived in Bucktown for more than twenty years, love the neighborhood, vibe and sense of community. I helped these clients move from Logan Square a few short years ago, a job opportunity now has them leaving Chicago. One chapter ends, and another one begins. Honored to assist with their life transition. I love what I do, 21 years and counting! #mundyadvisors #atproperties #bucktown #chicago #realestate @instituteluxuryhomemarketing @luxuryportfolio @atproperties by @cmundychicago
Another amazing evening with the Reverend Michael Franti, a collective gathering of local soul rockers, hippies and those that lead with gratitude and curiosity, as well as love & respect. Humanity needs to embrace its “love” language of understanding, accountability and forgiveness, for us all to move forward as one. #globalshaman #michaelfranti #soulrockers #livemusicphotography #cmundyphotography @parkwestchicago @rollingstone @michaelfranti by @cmundychicago
