The NEST 5 lineup has landed🌞

We’ve been digging deep for this one and are hyped to share who’s joining us this year!

Expect everything from dancefloor-focused sets to slower, immersive sounds — with international artists from the UK, France and Germany alongside some of our favourite local selectors. Each one chosen for the energy and flavour they’ll bring to the forest. 🌳

🪩 Three stages, three vibes: NEST Stage for the unexpected, Forest Stage for a deeper drift, and the Main Stage where things get loose😈

All running through the custom-built 10,000 W @borissoundsystem from Slovenia 🔊

Reminder that early birds are sold out!

Big thank you to the @___atipik___ family for trusting us with a special 10-hour music journey last week at Le Chant Des Oiseaux festival, and to all the dancers that shared the biggest vibes with us for the whole ride - we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Since attending and playing at the very first editions, LCDO has inspired us in so many ways, and it’s been amazing to be part of their journey as the project continues to grow.

Until next time!
Big Love

Calling all the jazz cats! 🎷🐈‍⬛

Caravan pulls into @backstage_bcn for its first stop on 22 October for a night of live music, vinyl and good company.

@oyejazztrio will celebrate the release of their debut EP live, with @jasonpatrickowensmusic on alto sax, @chimpanmuk on double bass and @ken.ychicawa on drums, bringing some serious chops to the room. 🛋️

@cmykitsme brings some of his favourite jazz LPs to start the ride, before @gypsies_jazz takes the wheel. Usually found playing underground dance music around Europe, Jason takes a detour from the club, bringing us on a deep-cut tour through his funk & disco collection. 🪩

20:00 · CMYK — jazz LP selecta
21:30 · OYE! — modern jazz trio
22:30 · Jason — funk & disco vinyl set

As NEST draws near, meet some of the crew behind the curtain 💜
→ @cmykitsme @mar_cosm @heatherj435 @pekkuliar @noisy.audio @talesofshrimp

When they’re not spending countless hours bringing NEST to life throughout the year, you’ll find them obsessing over music in one way or another — producing, running labels, throwing parties, collecting records, or searching for the soundtrack of this year’s edition. 😉

Diverse in characters, ideas and styles, the team delves into everything from downtempo selections to the different shades of house and dance music.

We’re excited to share another piece of the NEST story with you. Let’s make it one for the books! 💜 by @cmykitsme

完 - End of the ride 🙂‍↕️ You came for the music, stayed for my Japanese influencer era 🗾

These 2 months have been the journey of a lifetime – infinitely grateful to have had the chance to slow-travel and truly immerse myself in this unique country, filled with incredible places, people, and sociocultural depth.

So many experiences or interactions felt foreign in the best possible way, constantly challenging my own worldview and behavior - embracing a Beginner’s Mind 初心 📚

Next stops:
🇰🇷 Seoul for a week - can’t wait to get back behind the decks at @paper.seoul tomorrow after my longest stretch without touching turntables in over a decade! 🪩

🇪🇸 Return to home base Barcelona, looking forward to be reunited with my friends and focus on our exciting plans with @nestmicrofest, full of fresh inspiration and renewed energy 🗻♨️ taken in Osaka-Kansai International Airport by @cmykitsme

5 days of (relative) solitude at the foot of Mt Fuji 🗻

Fujisan is notoriously shy and only visible about 70 days a year - finally getting to see it in its full glory after 3 days in the rain and fog was an extremely emotional moment 🥹🥹

The beauty of the area can be truly overwhelming - feeling blessed to have experienced a day of such perfect weather there 🌞 taken in Kawaguchiko, Fuji, Japan by @cmykitsme

Well, @nestmicrofest last weekend was, without a doubt, the most fulfilling experience of my decade spent in event creation 🫨

From what started as a party thrown together in a month by four friends to what we pulled off last weekend… what a journey it’s been!

Over these four years, we’ve faced a historic storm, a half-day power outage, a regional ice shortage, a fallen tree on our main stage, a broken clutch, a flat tire, a handful of medical incidents and injuries... just to name a few. 😅😅

It’s been a wild ride of trial and error, but also a journey of growth and resilience — of finding our own roles in the project, recruiting the right team, and learning how to work together with such a wide mix of backgrounds, skills and personalities. 👨‍💻👷🧚🏻🥷🤵🏼‍♀️

I feel infinitely proud of this multi-faceted family of 40+ people that gravitate around NEST, and that last week made it possible to fully crack the insanely complex puzzle of pulling off such an ambitious project — high-end sound, multiple stage moves, international artists — at such a small scale.

So a million thanks to all the team who helped bring our vision to life, to the artists who truly understand what we’re building and bring that special selection every time, and of course, to our amazing community — you make this event what it is, and you’ve left an endless smile on my face since Saturday. 💜💜💜

WE ARE SO READY FOR NEST 5!!!!! 🫡

Til then, we’re off to Chant des Oiseaux by @___atipik___ tonight with the @kommunabcn gang — a festival close to our hearts, for which I had the chance to play their very first edition back in 2021, and which definitely sparked the flame and inspired us to create our own micro-festival…. Full circle ⭕️

It’s been 10 years since we started Kommuna - a passion project that has shaped a big part of who we are today.

What initially started as a gathering of friends that wanted to express themselves through music and events has grown to a couple of music labels, a decade of events and the birth of exciting collaborations like @nestmicrofest or acquiring a @borissoundsystem 🔊 🟧

We have some nice things planned for the next few months to celebrate this special number and we wanted to thank everyone for their love and support over all those years 👴🏻

To every one of you that has been part of this in any way… to every dancer that trusted their nights with us, everyone that bought a copy of our records, every promoter that invited us to play our music… a MASSIVE THANK YOU for everything - we feel blessed to have the chance of doing what we’re doing 🫡

Catch us in some festivals stage takeover and showcases around EU 👀

@kommunabcn is celebrating its 10th year of activity with a special dancefloor-focused record. The name Dysto Disco reflects the essence of the music presented in this EP and the glimmer of hope that music provides during these dystopian times.
Fabricio’s Collateral Effect is a feel-good dancefloor groover with driving basslines and addictive vocals, guaranteed to get the crowd moving. Charleze offers the elegant Rage Power, a track that explores the deeper shades of house—perfect for setting the tone of a set.
The B-side carries a unique French touch, with talented producers Wooka and Mooglee bringing the goods. Wooka’s Tirty Dalk is packed with raw energy and unexpected twists, while Mooglee closes the EP with Things I Love, an ode to positivity and joy. As the vocals suggest, “We’re just representing peace and love, getting together, and let’s all have fun!”
