Growing up,
Mama was everything to me.

She was comfort before I knew how to comfort myself,
confidence before I knew who I was,
inspiration before I even understood what that word meant

Princesses and queens never felt fictional to me,
because I watched her every single day

She taught me that strength does not always have to be loud.
Sometimes it is quiet.
Sometimes it is gentle.
Sometimes it looks like kindness,
compassion,
and loving people so deeply
that the world around you becomes softer because of it.

I still remember her sitting down to play Monopoly with me.
A mama with a thousand responsibilities,
a thousand things pulling at her attention,
still choosing to sit on the stairs
because her son wanted someone to play with.

That is who she is.

She understands.
She never belittles or ignores.
She listens like every word matters.
She makes you feel seen and heard.

She remembers everything.
She’ll recognize old friends of mine before I do,
because once someone enters her life,
she makes space for them in her heart forever.

Everyone who meets her tells me how incredible she is,
and every single time I think the same thing:

“You don’t even know the half of it.”

Yes, she is beautiful.
Yes, she is athletic.
Yes, she is the hardest working person you know.

But those are only the things the world can see.

What amazes me most
is the way she chooses to use every strength she has
to love people,
to support them,
to care for them,
to carry burdens nobody else notices.

I don’t think there would ever be a book long enough
or words big enough
to explain how grateful I am to call her Mama.

But I hope she knows.
And I hope she feels it
every time I say,
“I love you.” by @cmziemer7

2025 is almost over, I have changed more this year than I have in a long time. I’m unbelievably grateful for all the blessings. I’m walking into 2026 happy and ready for the new year by @cmziemer7
