Struggling to increase your strict pull-ups? There are two main ways to make them easier.

1. Get stronger. 💪
Build your pulling strength with progressive training, including strict pull-ups, accessory work, and isometric holds.

2. Reduce the load you’re pulling.
If fat loss is appropriate for you, losing some body weight means you have less mass to pull over the bar.

And of course, you can work on both at the same time.

The key is figuring out what YOU need most right now and training accordingly.

Want to start building stronger pull-ups? Our FREE Pull-up Challenge starts TOMORROW!

Whether you’re working towards your first rep or want to build bigger sets, we’ve got you covered.

Comment “PU GROUP” and I’ll send you the link to join. Plus, there’s over $3,000 in prizes up for grabs! See you inside. by @coach.__t

This is what went into Coach Triston’s client Trey hitting an all-time front squat PR.

The program wasn’t built from a generic template. Every part of it had a reason.

Volume was adjusted. Intensity was progressed. Weak points were addressed. Recovery was considered. And the plan was adapted based on how Trey was actually responding.

That’s the difference between being given a program and being coached.

A good coach isn’t just choosing exercises. They’re constantly asking:
What does this athlete need right now?
What’s holding them back?
How much can they handle?
What needs to change if something isn’t working?
And how do we get them to their goal without just throwing more work at them?

The front squat PR is the result. The individualised process is what got him there.

If you want a program built around you, your goals, your strengths, your weaknesses and your current training, comment “PR” and we’ll send you the details and have a chat about whether individualised coaching is right for you. by @coach.__t

I’m probably overdo for a post, but truthfully I haven’t had the words.

The last four years with Ascend Athlete were nothing short of incredible. Having the opportunity to cut my teeth as an elite coach with some of the best people and gifted athletes I’ve ever met was something I couldn’t have dreamed of.

Memories and moments of the last few years could fill a dozen Instagram posts.

I couldn’t be more grateful and excited for the future. by @coach.__t

Big welcome to Triston Patrick, the newest member of the WODprep coaching team!

Triston found CrossFit back in 2014, got his L1 in 2015 and quickly dove into coaching.

Since then, he’s:
→ Co-owned an affiliate from 2018–2022
→ Earned a Bachelor of Science in Strength & Conditioning
→ Completed his L2 in 2021
→ Earned his L3 in 2026
→ Served as Head Coach at Ascend Athlete from 2023–2026
→ Coached athletes at the CrossFit Games 4 times

Safe to say, he knows a thing or two about coaching CrossFit.

We’re incredibly excited to have Triston on the team and can’t wait for you to get to know him.

But we’re not finished hiring yet…

We’re still looking for ONE more experienced 1-on-1 remote CrossFit coach to join WODprep.

This isn’t a side gig. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a career with WODprep, is all-in on coaching and genuinely wants to help us change athletes’ lives.

You should have experience coaching athletes remotely, be confident programming for individuals, and be able to give clear, actionable feedback.

Think you could be a good fit?

Knowing what your main focuses in each phase of training should be is essential to having a successful training year.

Backward plan from your most important competition of the year, define your phases, set your training priorities & get to work 😤
