Best of luck to my guys on the Division 1 grind this season!! So happy to see all of them excelling at the highest level…

MICHAEL PROVENZANO - from my first recruiting class in 2016-17, 4-year starter and 3-year captain at SFU, Mike leads the Western Michigan Broncos as an assistant coach after a great run at UTRGV for head coach Kahil Fennell. Mikey P will undoubtedly be a head coach in the near future!

YUSUF ALI - after an amazing job as a first year assistant coach at SFU, Yusuf landed at Arizona State under Bobby Hurley Jr. and now onto West Virginia where he cultivated one of the top recruiting classes of 2026 for head coach Ross Hodge. Yusuf was always a players’ coach and may be the best recruiter in the entire NCAA. Big things ahead for Yusuf and WVU in 2026-27!

ALY DHANANI - concluding his first year as a Graduate Assistant at UNLV for head coach Josh Pastner, Aly has already shown his value and promoted to Graduate Assistant Manager while completing his MBA. Sky is the limit for Aly and the Runnin’ Rebels this season after an excellent recruiting class and using the portal to their advantage!

LUKE HOWARD - concluding a GNAC All-Conference season my last year at SFU in 2024-25, Luke is at full strength now after a lengthy knee rehab. He transferred UP to the San Jose State Spartans for his senior season in the tough Mountain West Conference. He will see fellow Red Leafs alum Aly Dhanani when they face UNLV in conference play!

ADEEL SAHIBZADA - 3 years at SFU, and two years as my lead assistant, Coach Adeel will lead the 2025-26 defending national champions, Bella Vista College Preparatory School, as their new head coach. Dr. Sahibzada is also the Department Head of Social Sciences at Bella Vista. No doubt Adeel’s 2026-27 squad will feature a rotation of high-major Division 1 prospects including former Terry Fox Raven, Jayson Ikani, from my high school alma mater!

GOOD LUCK to all of you!! PROUD!! taken in NCAA March Madness USA by @coach.hanson

MANGE TAK VEJEN.
Small town. Big dreams.

Nothing but gratitude for my first time overseas and what we accomplished in YEAR ONE in the 🇩🇰Basketligaen.

Thank you to my players: Tony, Drew, Neema, Elias, Chris, Bastian, Magnus, Johannes, Phillip, Oscar, Tobias, Aske and Isaiah. You created some great memories for the fans and for me as your coach. Players are the engine. Young guys, keep grindin’. The work will show. 📈

To our leadership team of John, Morten, Jesper, Dennis and Patrick, thanks for your support and passion all season.

To my assistant coach Kasper, you held it down all year through thick and thin. 🫡💪🏽

To our medical staff Pernille and Jannik, you kept us healthy and safeguarded our athletes.

To our media team Elisabeth (@holberg_marketing ) & Benjamin (@moelsted_fotos 🔥 📸), thank you.

To our fans and sponsors - the Idrætscenter was rockin’ all year long! The smallest town with the loudest 📣fans!

I look forward to the club’s progress in 2026-27.

MORE WINS AHEAD. Strength and honour.

Andrew - league scoring champion🏆 (20.7 ppg)
Tony - league assists champ 🏆 (7.4 apg)
Neema - league 3pt champ 🏆(111 total💥) taken in Growth Mindset by @coach.hanson

SUCCESS IS NEVER LINEAR 📈.
My players have taught me more than I have taught them. You talk perseverance, you can talk resilience, you can talk endurance…but, when you see it personified - WOW.

Eric and his family committed to SFU after leaving the University of Vermont. It was an exciting time for me personally. We had just graduated our deepest and most successful team and Eric headlined the next generation and an excellent 2022 recruiting class.

However, injuries, life and change faced us. A hamstring injury, a concussion, an off-season knee injury, led to an epic return late in the 2023-24 season and being honoured the “Terry Fox Most Inspirational Male Athlete”. We felt Eric had arrived and he had the best off-season of his career in summer 2024. Yet, adversity hit again, another brutal concussion in the pre-season of his senior year, Eric shifted his full focus to his academics.

Today, Eric crossed the stage with his Bachelor’s of Applied Science and joint majors in Computing Science and Business. No easy task at SFU.

Seeing the pride and joy on his family’s faces said it all! #DoHardThings 💪🏽 Proud of you EB!
