Happy Birthday, Unc. 💔🕊️💙

I still don’t think it’s fully hit me that I can’t just pick up the phone and tell you happy birthday anymore. I lost you earlier this year, and honestly, I can’t say it’s getting easier or harder. I’m just learning how to live with a loss I wish I never had to experience.

Today, I’d give anything just to hear your voice, laugh with you one more time, or simply tell you happy birthday like I always should be able to. It’s crazy how life keeps moving when a part of you is still trying to process someone you love no longer being here.

I know you’re gone physically, but the memories, the love, and everything you meant to me will always live on. Today is your day, and although I can’t celebrate with you the way I wish I could, I’ll carry you with me in my heart.

There’s no feeling like watching your boys take the field at the next level. 🏈💯

My first college football game, getting to see some of my former players out there living a dream, reminded me why I love coaching so much.

One of the best feelings I’ve had in a long time.

It’s bigger than the game it’s about the lives you touch, the relationships you build, and watching these young men grow into who they’re meant to be.

Proud of y’all, boys! Keep grinding, keep believing, and keep making your coach proud. This is what it’s all about! 💜🙏🏾

I’ve been reminding myself lately… don’t lose your dribble.

Life has been throwing a lot at me, and some days I honestly don’t know what the next move is. I get tired. I get frustrated. I overthink. Sometimes I even question if I’m still on the right path.

But I’m still here.

So I’m not giving up on myself. I might slow down, I might take a step back, I might have to regroup—but I’m not putting the ball down.

And if you’re reading this, I hope you remember the same thing about yourself. You don’t have to have all the answers right now. Just keep your head up, protect your peace, and keep moving.

Whatever you’re going through, don’t quit on yourself. Keep your dribble. Keep showing up. Keep fighting for the life you know you deserve. The game isn’t over—and neither are you. 🏀🖤
