Many years ago, I became a BIG BOY with the help of this book, and now it has been passed on to my handsome, dinosaur loving nephew, Mateo! Keep working hard to make those big deposits, nephew! Maybe someday you can be like your Tio J.J. when he was a young rascal…climb up on your throne and get scholastic while you take care of business and make room for your next big meal!!! Throwback Thursday…9/18/26… Watertown Arrows vs. Pierre Governors. Pretty cool watching the sons of my former classmates/teammates shine on the gridiron! Big thanks to @klalimfromsd and his crew at @wtnsd.local for serving my boy Boomer and I a spicy burger that really hit the spot! I highly recommend ordering a Gangsta burger this week if you get a chance… just like anything else they serve: VERY YUMMY! by @coach_iverson

Another birthday has passed and although my flight got derailed to Alaska on Wednesday, which I was super looking forward to, I still got to spend the day doing what I love with the people I love! My brother and nephew, Mateo, even got to squeeze in a FaceTime where I got to learn all about his knowledge of dinosaurs/animals! I guess that’s all a guy I can ask for!

All the well wishes and happy birthdays sure do mean a lot from all you who were nice enough to call and reach out!

Good thing my Mom always has the camera ready because she captured all these photos and videos that made it a memorable day…she even shared later with me some old throwbacks that prove I may have been a bit of rascal even in my early days! Big thank you to Travis Carrico who came out and golfed with my old man and I, and witnessed that I finally got the best of him! It only took close to 1/2 a century! Not the greatest score, but I’ll be holding onto the scorecard! by @coach_iverson

Before I even moved to Watertown I met Dave through Mike Crank and I’ll never forget how much fun we always had watching ballgames at Shenanigans in the Sioux Falls mall, especially your Duke Blue Devils! I’ll always think of you now whenever they take the court! by @coach_iverson

Yesterday, Mia, Sloaney, and I had an early morning breakfast at The Wheel Inn. During the course of eating, an older gentleman stopped at our table to say hello. The girls are kind of shy around strangers and one could barely hear their words as they spoke, but the man quickly calmed their nerves with his easy conversation and gentle tone. He eventually asked them if they knew which Disney character resembled the shape of their pancake. They both excitedly replied, “Mickey Mouse!” He then asked them if they knew who Daffy Duck was. They both nodded yes, and he suddenly began to talk in a perfect Daffy Duck voice, which brought upon two authentic smiles and some giggling! He then pulled two rubber ducks out of his coat pockets and placed them on the table. The girls were surprised and very excited to receive these gifts. The gentleman then bid us farewell and went to sit at a table…alone. After we finished eating and were on our way out, the girls waved goodbye and, once again, thanked him. The man waved back and quietly said, “Thank you for making my day!”

I recently watched “The Comeback.” It’s a documentary on the 2004 Boston Red Sox highlighting the team's historic comeback from a 3-0 deficit against the Yankees and their World Series victory. After watching this clip, I’m pretty sure you know why I really enjoyed it and became a big fan of Kevin Millar! #Gangster by @coach_iverson
