Getting to celebrate with our South Dakota family & friends was the perfect to start to wedding week. 🥰 So grateful to @heatherl.engstrom & @anne.rylance for putting together such a special day for us. 🤍

At the age of 36, I've had a lot more life experience than most. More about the grief and life's challenges. In fact, there was a period when. I used to dread my birthday. It still makes me cry because of the time of year my father passed away and the memories I have from my time at the VA hospital during that time…celebrating my 30th birthday before he went to heaven less than a month later.⁣

As many of you know, my mother Rosa is from Honduras 🇭🇳 Today is her birthday and I wanted to honor her with a fundraiser for Honduras 🤍 Hurricane ETA has caused a lot of death, destruction, and devastation (added on top of the global pandemic!). As a person of great faith, my prayers are with Honduras, but monetary efforts will be the best tangible gift to ensure the victims have basic needs to help them rebuild their homes and lives. Partnering with my family in Honduras, I will ensure that my fundraising efforts will go to trusted sources that will best assist our people 🤍 A portion of all sales (online and at Trendz in Brookings, SD @trendzdowntown) will support this cause. This opportunity runs from today, November 11 - Sunday, Nov 15 🤍🇭🇳🤍
Thank you and *GRACIAS* for your consideration 🤍

A very special shoutout to my older brother, JJ, for taking the time to help me temporarily transition The Mermaid 🧜🏻‍♀️ from storefront to online ✨🤍✨ He didn’t even ask me if I needed help, he just showed up. That’s one of the admirable qualities I love about my JJ - he is loyal to the core. Since day one, he has 👍🏼 liked 👍🏼 every single one of my social media pictures, has shown up for store events, and sends his friends to visit my store 🤍🧜🏻‍♀️🤍 I’ll always be forever grateful to him for helping me create my dream of The Prairie Mermaid 🌾 🧜🏻‍♀️💜 Thank you, JJ, for your love and support - I’m blessed with the best ✨💜✨

Never ever thought I’d sell masks nor have people hound me down for them 😅😅😅 But, here we are, and I’m just happy to help you in any way I can! People *love* these masks because they come from clothing manufacturers in Los Angeles so they use their super soft fabric for not only stylish designs; but they also use the ✨softest✨material for the ear straps! I’ll have these available at the store today for $12 each or $14 with hand sanitizer 🌟 .
.
Ps - as surreal as it is for me to have a beautiful child model a face mask in a global pandemic, let’s give it up for my sweet girl ⭐️PAISLEE⭐️ she’s not only a budding model, but a talented fashionista and kind heart! She’s a special girl to our family 🥰💜🥰💜
