🚨One of the Best of All Time🚨
•
Trevor does it again! He now stands alone as the all time hit king at SEU! 109 and counting, breaking Jacob Pipercic’s mark of 108 while playing for the Eagles. His patented base hit to RF in the top of the 1st in yesterday’s game against NJCU left him atop the history books! Congrats to one of the best to ever do it at SEU! 🪢🦅 taken in Saint Elizabeth University by @coachbradedwards

7 years ago today, on the very first swing I took in a college baseball game, I watched my first hit find some grass, and the first teammate I drove in cross the plate. About 200 hits and 100 RBIs later, I laugh at every person that told me I had a bad swing. It came a long way from group 5. 🥲

I miss it everyday. Here’s to baby steps 🫶🏽🥂

THE RACE IS ON!!!!!
·
Follow the drama as both Nic DiSciascio and Aidan Folsom battle it out in their quest to be the first pitcher in program history with 100 Ks at SEU!
·
Both broke the previous school record held by Justin Lowden in his 2 years at Saint Elizabeth from 2022-2023. Coach Edwards from 22'-23' and Current SEU team member Trevor Policastro from 24'-present round out the top 5.

THE BIRDS ARE BACK!!!!!

What an amazing day at our FIRST EVER Fall Alumni Game. It was so great to see so many old faces back on the diamond for an unbelievable game against the current squad. Thank you to everyone who came and all the parents that made this day possible. We wouldn’t be here without each and every one of you. We Hold the Rope for you each and every day!
•
•
To start, the alumni showed the youngins they still got it with a joint IO of old faces and new.
•
@aidanfolsom__34 started the day with a clean inning punching out 2. And in the bottom half @cam.vicari22 dunked a ball just fair off Coach E for a 1-0 lead! Coach E responded with a K to limit the damage and ended up going 3 innings of 1 run ball, even throwing in a hidden ball trick for an out!!!! @tajsmuhammad @cc_pelotero7 showed you never lose it with 2 hits each on the day. @felix.ayon would start the rally in the 5th and Coach Edwards proved our hitting philosophy works tying the game at 2 in the 5th with a 2RBI base hit. @markneslerjr swung the game back in favor of the current squad with a 2RBI double off alumni Conner Egan, but he immediately responds with a K of Aiden Folsom to limit the damage to 4-2 Current squad. The Alumni would tie the game at 4 with @joshk_08 RBI base knock driving in Coach E with a piano on his back coming around third. From there Richard Sherman would score on a wild pitch and @cc_pelotero7 would give the Alumni a 6-4 lead heading into the last inning with his second hit of the day! In the bottom half, @nickvillalba02 would get the current squad going with a 2B, before @malcolmsolomonn would tie the game 6-6 with a dunked in ball down the line. Finally, @jamesmorello25 would end his clutch fall with a ground ball to short that a diving play and throw across the diamond was not enough and the current squad walked it off 7-6 in a thriller!!!

What an unbelievable day and an unbelievable game it was. We are forever indebted to those who built the foundation of what Hold the Rope means, and will forever honor them with the way we play the game. Until next year…. Hold the Rope, and never let go. 🦅🪢

💡Tuesday Talks with Hitters💡:
Aggression on balls “off the plate” early in the count
•
•
Longer Video today so hopefully I keep you for the whole thing. Too often guys are over-selective on pitches “outside of the strike zone”. Especially early on the count “looking for their pitch”. And too often guys find themselves hitting from behind. To combat this, there are balls you can barrel and balls you cannot.
•
•
If you can barrel it, BARREL IT. Especially early in the count. Passive hitters make outs. When you hit on the offensive, you’d be surprised how many more balls you hit hard you didn’t think you could.
•
•
The MLB average in 0-0 counts in 2025 was .345. Coincidence? Probably not 🤷🏽‍♂️ What do you think most of the clips have in common? 🤔🧐 #holdtherope #success #confidence #forthe13 #hitting #homerun #mlb #baseball #gobirds by @coachbradedwards

💡Tuesday Talk with Hitters💡
•
•
Are you willing to not fear when you fail?💭
•
•
We play a sport where a 70% failure rate gets you in the Hall Of Fame. Failure is inevitable, it is those who do not fear those 7 out of 10 times that find greatness.
•
•
Have you tuned your swing so much in a controlled setting, that when you get in the box, the only thing you do is hit?? Hitters hit, no matter the scenario and no matter how they feel mentally and physically. And when you are not in the “perfect hitting conditions”; in that moment what are you willing to do to figure it out?
