Life Coaching for midlife, reinvention + navigating your next chapter. 1:1 & Group Coaching, Workshops & Retreats

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s time for a little reintroduction…

I’m Kathy — 61 years of life lived fully, loudly, quietly, boldly, and everything in between.

61 years of lessons, pivots, reinventions, heartbreaks, miracles, and growth.

Alongside all that life experience, I’ve spent years studying, learning, and earning the degrees and certifications that support the work I do today. From coaching to wellness to mind–body connection, I’ve invested deeply in my education so I can pour real tools, real knowledge, and real transformation into every conversation.

Every version of me — and every bit of training behind the scenes — shapes how I show up for YOU.
Every post, every session, every message is rooted in helping you move from stuck to standing in your magic again.

I’ve lived through empty nest shifts, career twists, identity rebuilds, and those quiet moments where you whisper, “Okay… what now?”

And every one of them fuels my commitment to helping you find your joy, your clarity, and your next chapter.

So if you’re new here — welcome.
If you’ve been here — thank you.
And if you’re ready for a season that feels like YOU again… you’re in the right place. 🩷 by @coachingwithkathy

✨ What makes me unique as a midlife confidence coach? ✨

It’s not about fitting into someone else’s mold or trying to “find yourself” like a puzzle piece lost in the couch cushions. Nope. It’s about exploring, experimenting, and building a life that’s beautifully, unapologetically expansive—the kind of life that lights you up from the inside out.

Midlife isn’t a crisis; it’s a creative opportunity to rewrite your story, embrace every twist, and grow wiser with every pivot.

And when your energy is truly aligned? It doesn’t just fuel YOU… it lights up everyone around you.

If you’re ready to step into that kind of confidence and joy, you’re exactly where you need to be. 💛

WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR… ✨

There’s nothing wrong with asking for what you want. Pray for it. Manifest it. Visualize it. Put it on the vision board. Tell the universe exactly what you’re calling in.

But then? You have to take action!

Because manifestation is not DoorDash. You still have to go get it. 😂

Want a new career? Take the step.

Want healthier relationships? Have the hard conversations.

Want to heal? Do the uncomfortable work.

Want a different life? You’re going to have to make different choices.

The wish is the BEGINNING! The action is where things start to change.

So go ahead. Wish upon that star.💫

Then put on your glass slippers and get moving 🎤

Okay, your turn. 👇🏻

What’s something you’ve been wishing, praying, or manifesting lately that might be asking YOU to take the next step?

I grew six varieties of apples in my backyard, and had my friends taste every one blind, and let them vote which they thought tasted best!

I was SO sure Honeycrisp would win. It’s the one my kids always rank number 1 every single time. However when doing a blind test with my friends, it wasn’t even close.
The winner? Variety called Akane. A little Japanese apple most people have never heard of. Sweet, tart, perfectly balanced, and now I can’t stop eating them.

Comment “AKANE” and I’ll send you the full list of the varieties I grow and the flavor profiles for each, which ones won and which I’m cutting next year. And tell me, what’s YOUR favorite apple? 👇🍎

We’ve been taught to measure success by the applause.

The likes.
The compliments.
The recognition.
The “I’m so proud of you!”

Not every win needs an audience. Sometimes you are the only one who knows how hard you worked to get here.

* Choosing yourself.
* Setting the boundary.
* Starting over.
* Keeping the promise you made to yourself.
* Doing something that scared you.
* Becoming someone you’re proud of.

So don’t wait for someone else to validate the victory. You don’t need permission to be proud of how far you’ve come.

Stop waiting for them to clap. Give yourself the standing ovation. 💋 👏🏻

Night Nation Run Seattle, you were NOT ready for us. 🌈💃

Somewhere between mile one and the main stage, we decided jogging was optional and dancing was mandatory. Just a bunch of women being loud, wild, silly, sweaty and unapologetically US.

No shame. No chill. No regrets. Just 9 grown women screaming lyrics, raising our hands in the air, shaking it all in neon, and having the time of our lives. Did we look cute? Well, yeah! Did we have fun? Absolutely unhinged levels. 😂

Because sometimes the best nights are the ones where you stop worrying about looking cool and just GO ALL IN.

Happy Birthday, Andrea! 🥳❤️
And remember…

If you wanna be front row, BE FRONT ROW. 🔥

The greatest compliments I received after sharing photos from my boudoir shoot with my hubby and friends was:

“They are SO you.”

And honestly? That made me happier than almost anything else they could have said.

Yes, there were sexy photos. Barely-clothed photos. A few just enough to make you wonder photos. 😉

But this series Amber captured of me—just being me in the moment—became one of my absolute favorites.

She caught my silly.

She caught my playful.

She caught my confidence.

But she also caught a softness, a vulnerability, that I struggle with sharing.

And that surprised me.

It reminded me that I don’t have to choose which version of myself gets to exist. I can be all of them.

The silly me.
The strong me.
The sexy me.
The soft me.
The serious me.
The woman who takes up space.
The woman who sometimes just wants to curl up and be quiet.

The people closest to me see all of these sides. And I hope you do too.

But it got me thinking…

Which version of YOU do you share with the world?

And which version do you hide?

Maybe it’s time to stop editing ourselves down to the version we think will be easiest for other people to accept.

Share it all.

Because if someone can’t accept every version of you?

That’s a them problem.

Be all of you.

Even the versions that surprise you. ❤️

What helps most when life hands you a pivot moment?

When I look back at my own life, I realize it isn’t an either/or.

It’s courage AND curiosity.

Years ago, my own life coach told me that curiosity was the thread running through all my superpowers.

She was right.

Curiosity makes me ask “What if?”
Courage helps me say “Why not?!”

And honestly, I think we need both when we’re standing at the edge of something new.

So I’m curious…

Which do you need more of right now: COURAGE or CURIOSITY? 👇🏻

It’s my birthday month… and apparently I’ve decided to celebrate by asking one very important question: WHY THE HELL NOT?! ❤️♟️✨

Wear a short red, backless sequin dress from Anna Flowers Designs and do a photoshoot in Pioneer Square with my bestie? Why Not?!

Get a little silly and play chess in that sequin dress? Why Not?!

Play with the latest AI technology and see what happens? HELLO, YES! 😂

Because here’s the thing… I may be chronologically enhanced, but I am NOT old.

And you can’t tell me I am. 😉

Getting older doesn’t mean getting smaller, quieter, safer, or more predictable.

It can mean getting MORE curious.
More playful.
More willing to try something just because it sounds fun.
More willing to make the move.

So this birthday month, I’m not asking “Am I too old for that?” I’m asking: WHY NOT?!

Your turn. What’s one thing you’ve been thinking about doing that you keep talking yourself out of?

Maybe it’s time to stop asking “Why?” and start asking “Why not?!” ♟️❤️

Thank you to the talented @meraki.creates for capturing me!

Let’s be honest about being “of an age.” 😉

Nobody really prepares us for the plot twist that is watching your body change while your brain still feels very much like… YOU.

Your skin changes.
Your shape changes.
Your hormones change.
Your weight changes.
Things move, soften, wrinkle, sag, disappear… and sometimes show up in places you weren’t expecting. 😂

And then we wonder:

Do I embrace it?
Do I change it?
Do I fight it?
Do I just make peace with it?

Maybe you’re genuinely happy with where you are. 👏🏻 Good on ya 👏🏻

Most of us aren’t, if we are being truly honest here. And that’s my point. Be honest with yourself about where you are. Happy some days. Not so happy others. And even days where you’re feeling downright miserable too!

Maybe there are things you want to change—and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to feel stronger, healthier, or more comfortable in your body.

But maybe the biggest transformation doesn’t need to happen to your body at all.

Maybe it’s the way you see her.
The way you talk to her.
The expectations you’ve placed on her.
The belief that she has to look a certain way to be worthy, desirable, sexy, strong, or enough.

Maybe you feel your body needs to change.
Maybe your mindset needs to change.
Maybe both do.
Maybe neither does.

The point is: make the choice from self-respect, not self-rejection.

Because this body has carried you through a LOT.

And she deserves a little more appreciation for that. ❤️

Apparently, I looked at a Spartan Race and thought… “Yep. That sounds like a good idea.” 😂

Mud. Hills. Obstacles. Crawling. Climbing. Carrying things I definitely did not want to carry.

Because sometimes the goal isn’t to look graceful.

It’s not to be the fastest.

And it definitely isn’t to stay clean. 🤣

It’s to say WHY NOT?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ and see what happens.

Turns out… I’m still a little badass. 💪🏼🔥

And yes, I’d probably do it again. Probably. 😉

Because apparently my 60s are not the time to start acting my age. 😉

WHY NOT?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Are you ready for your #whynotmoment
