Im not sure why I felt delaying posting you would change the reality of the situation but ima just start by saying i do not fear death for myself or anyone I love. But I’d be damn sure lying if I said you didn’t break my heart into a million pieces baby boy. It hurts knowing I won’t hear your voice asking me for some snacks or calling me a punk during the day. You were the only one I let call me that cause you always did it with a smile. This the difference between being frontline with these kids rather than saying you helping from a distance. They become family not just mentees. Answering calls 12-1 in the morning cause you don’t know if they’re in danger or not. Showing up to court dates and hospital visits. I really lost my little brother and thats a pain I will forever live with. But if I stopped doing what I do then all my other youngins won’t have that support anymore 💯 I’ll forever do this in your name lil bro I promise. One things I’ll say is you brought the lake together on a different level cause of who you were & to my lake family i always got yall back no matter what. 🚨Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month🚨
Peace all, Ima keep it short and sweet.. when it comes to depression and other mental health issues a lot of the time you become trapped in your own mind. You become a prisoner of your thoughts. I’ve been there. One thing I can say about working out it brings you out of that mental prison and into the present moment. It’s much more than just tearing and building your muscles, it’s a beneficial distraction for your mind and body. I always say if you look good you feel good. Seeing that progress builds confidence which attacks depression 💯 you all matter never forget that taken in You Are Loved by @coachjay1x
