U to Z. We made it to the end.

Up-hills. VO₂ max. Warm-ups. Cross-training. You. And yes, sleep.

The ABCs of Running may be complete, but the work doesn’t stop at Z. Keep learning your body. Keep building your engine. Keep showing up.

Save the series. Come back to it when you need it.

See you on the road.

The ABCs of Running continues. P to T.

P is for Periodization. Train in seasons. Your body isn’t meant to peak all year.

Q is for Quality Over Quantity. Every session should have a purpose.

R is for Recovery Pace. Easy days should actually feel easy.

S is for Stride Length. Don’t overstride. Land under your centre of gravity.

T is for Taper. When the work is done, reduce the load and arrive at race day fresh.

Train smarter, not just harder.

All Glory to God! Our racing season kicked off with a banger — the Golden Dawn 10k. The new season is here, and I’m grateful it turned out so well.

That last 10k marker! I regret missing it, but shout out to everyone who ran down looking for it. I can only imagine the disappointment. 😓

My team knows we’ve already moved on to the next thing, but I needed to intentionally make time to celebrate a big win for myself and @abujarunclub.

There’s more work to be done, more experiences to be had — and we’re only just getting started.
Ps 85:1 — “Lord, you poured out blessings on your land!” ... 12 “Yes, the Lord pours down his blessings. Our land will yield its bountiful harvest.” (NLT)

Breathe. Rise. Move! 🏃

Today was the Golden Dawn 10K with Abuja Run Club and it was everything.

Running up those hills reminded me of something. You have to slow down when you are climbing. You cannot sprint up a hill the same way you sprint on flat ground. And when you are coming down you have to pace yourself or you lose control.

That is just life honestly.

Thank you to our coach @coachkann.ace and to Abuja Run Club for the intentionality behind everything you build. The community you have created here is something special.

See you at the next one. 🏃🏾‍♀️

A lot of runners focus on speed first. The best runners build durability first.

The second half of the ABCs of Running is about the things that keep you moving long after motivation wears off.

Healthy joints. A connected kinetic chain. Understanding your lactate threshold. Developing mental toughness. Running smart with negative splits. And knowing that recovery is training too.

These aren’t just technical terms. They’re habits that help you stay consistent, avoid unnecessary injuries, and enjoy running for years instead of weeks.

Which of these principles has changed the way you train the most? Let us know below.

The ABCs of Running, Part 1, is here.

Every strong runner starts with strong fundamentals.

Speed comes later. Distance comes later. The habits you build first determine how far you’ll go.

In this first edition, Coach Kann, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, breaks down the essential building blocks every runner should know, from alignment and breathing to cadence, fuelling, hydration, recovery, and more.

Whether you’re preparing for your first 5K or training for your next race, these principles will help you run smarter, stay healthier, and keep showing up consistently.

Which of these fundamentals has made the biggest difference in your running journey? Let us know in the comments.

Most new runners don’t quit because they lack potential. They quit because they expect progress to happen faster than it does.

The truth is, improvement in running is built on patience. Slow down enough to hold a conversation. Let your body adapt before asking more of it. Rest without feeling guilty. Stop comparing your first few weeks to someone else’s fifth year. And don’t wait until you feel “fit enough” to join a community. That’s exactly where you become fitter.

The runners who improve the most are rarely the most talented. They’re the ones who keep showing up, one run at a time.

Which of these surprised you the most?

Can you catch the runner?

The first batch sold out faster than we expected.

Not because it was a shirt, but because it meant something to the people who wear it.

Every preorder represented a commitment to show up, stay consistent, and be part of a community built around movement, discipline, and growth.

Thank you to everyone who secured a piece of the first drop.

Preorders are now open for the next batch.
