The goal isn’t just to have strong ankles , it’s to have ankles that can stay stable, react quickly, and produce force when it matters. @supermansands

We had a chance to Tap In with Brother Leevan “Superman” Sands, a Spring ‘25 initiate of the Gamma Mu Lambda Chapter. Brother Sands has displayed excellence throughout each phase of his track and field career. He has competed in multiple world championships and earned a bronze medal in the triple jump at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Throughout his distinguished track and field career, he has represented the Bahamas with great honor and pride. Today, he continues that legacy as an assistant horizontal jumps coach at the University of Kentucky, where he shares his knowledge, experience, and leadership to develop the next generation of athletes and Olympians. Onward and Upward, Good Brother. 🤙🏽

An Olympic bronze medalist came out of a junior college. Your program isn’t the problem.

Tre Betts — D2 Pittsburg State, national champ, 16.46m. Salif Mane — Fairleigh Dickinson (6,900 students, NEC), NCAA champion → Olympic Trials winner at 17.52m → Olympic finalist. Leevan Sands — Barton CC (JUCO), 4x NJCAA champ → 2x NCAA champ → Olympic bronze at 17.59m, still his national record.
Where are you jumping? 👇
