If you’re new here, welcome! If you’ve been part of my community for a while, thank you for supporting my work.

This post will give you a brief overview of what I do, including some new offerings.

I’m going to be updating my website over the next few weeks to include greater detail for each of the services listed (and I will be sure to include that here too) but reach out if you have specific questions.

Every single thing I offer is born of equal parts training and lived experience to create something that is both research backed and deeply personal. I believe in the power of the coaching container to transform lives (I’ve experienced it for myself and seen it in the lives of my clients).

Change is often hard and messy. But it’s also worth it. You can do this, but you don’t have to do it alone. Adding the support of an experienced coach increases your likelihood to succeed and I would love to be the person who helps you get there. by @coachlorriegray

What would you do with one extra free hour a day?

Assume that essentials are taken care of and you’re rested. What do you fill that time with?

I find that people who have clarity about their values, goals, and life purpose typically have a solid answer. Those who don’t either have no answer or can only envision sitting on the couch watching TV.

While I’m definitely a fan of TV time (rest and spaciousness are essential) I think many people are also deeply unhappy due to their actions and values being misaligned.

The solution? SELF-LEADERSHIP

While not everyone is in a season where they are ready for that type of work, I know some of you are. You’re ready to get clear on your values, life purpose, goals, and the legacy you want to leave behind. You’re ready to be aligned and accountable. You’re ready to be in the drivers seat of your own life.

This is a crucial step for anyone but especially anyone who is transitioning out of a deep healing season. If you’ve been doing the inner work and are ready to take it to the next level, let’s talk.

Some things I would do with more time: coffee dates and deep conversations, more art, slow living/cooking/gardening, more volunteer work with organizations doing work I value in the community.

ALSO… I was working on this piece at my kid’s volleyball tournament today and a sweet older man said he liked my art. He asked if I had a card or if my work was in any galleries in Portland. šŸ˜…Totally made my day 😊 by @coachlorriegray

Whenever a client finishes up a season of work with me (which we playfully refer to as ā€œgraduatingā€) we go through a closure process to help us both have a sense of completion.

It’s a time of reflecting on how far they have come and transitioning into the next season.

One optional thing they can choose to do at that point is to write a testimonial of our time together.

This is one from a recent client and I’m so happy to share it with you:

ā€œIf it were not for Lorrie, I would more than likely be stuck in PTSD with my nervous system shutting down. Her knowledge of trauma helped me navigate a very difficult season of life and find the correct type of therapy to not only help calm my nervous system, but heal it. She was very patient, understanding, encouraging, and knew how to hold space for some very emotional sessions so that I had a safe space to open up and receive feedback. I will always be grateful for her and her role in my healing journey. Thanks to her coaching (along with EMDR therapy) I am now walking forward in life with more self-confidence and more self-awareness than ever, and am happy to say I am anxiety free!!ā€ - A.K.

Graduating clients also means openings. If you are interested in working together our first step is a free consultation. Book that through my website or reach out to me here. šŸ¤— by @coachlorriegray

Data so far on why women begin doing deep, inner-healing work:

#1 reason: Trying to heal physical symptoms
#2 reason: Marriage issues

I have SOOOO many thoughts on the why behind all of this which I’ll share later.

For now, I would love to hear from more of you if this feels true for you.

Or, if your reason was something else, I would love to hear what that was. taken in Salem, Oregon by @coachlorriegray

Come hang out with me as we unpack what I’m discovering as I interview women about their healing journeys.

I would love to hear from more of you about your experience but can only do so many interviews. Hopefully this creates a space to expand the conversation. by @coachlorriegray

I need your help with something!

I am working on creating some new programming, which I assume will appeal to women in their 40’s-ish, who have spent the last few years ā€œhealing.ā€

The work will focus on helping people know when and how to transition from a healing season into the next chapter of life, because the tools that support you while healing are not the same ones that will help you integrate what you learned and move into the next chapter.

I know this process includes developing more self-trust and sturdy self-leadership; I know it touches the realms of joy and play, community and purpose. I think there’s a lot involved. And, that’s the problem - I’ve got too much content already and I want to get to the heart of this conversation so I can create something that is truly useful, life-changing, and doesn’t take a year to get through šŸ˜‚

So, I want to hear from you and/or people in your network. I’m specifically looking for:
- Women in their 40’s (ish) who have been doing some level of healing work for 2-4 years.
- This could mean therapy, coaching, all the self-help books, podcast, IG accounts, etc. The type of healing that involves a lot of introspection and naming and understanding patterns.
- Lots of my clients who are in this category have actively explored their childhoods, past trauma, attachment styles, self-regulation, parts work, etc.

If this is you, I would love to either:
1. Get a virtual coffee and ask you some questions.
2. Send you some questions via email that you can answer at your convenience.

I want to hear more about your experience: what’s actually helped (and what hasn’t), what’s improved, what’s become harder, what hasn’t resolved, where you feel stuck, how you knew/know you need to move on from ā€œhealingā€, etc.

If this feels like you and also something you’re willing to help with, please send me a DM or email me at hello@lorriegray.com and we can get that set up :)

THANK YOU!! by @coachlorriegray

Here’s a preview of the worksheet for tomorrow! This one forces left and right hand to work independently and makes your brain keep track of a few things at once. Such a good one for adding that right degree of challenge to sharpen our focus and help our brains work optimally.

We are nearing the end of week 2 of my 6 weeks brain-body reset, but guess what? You can join RIGHT NOW and still get over 4 weeks of daily practices. And it’s all recorded so you can try out the rest later.

These exercises are non-linear. There’s a new one each day but no magic order so you can start anytime. šŸ¤—

PS - if you’re thinking those colors look weird, you are correct. Apparently the yellow ink in my printer isn’t working. šŸ˜†

PPS - there is only one thing a week that needs to printed and it’s not totally necessary for a few of those. So if you don’t have a printer please don’t let that stop you.

This is all happening inside Patreon for my paid members. Link is in bio to join (as low as $5/mo). by @coachlorriegray

Spent HOURS today making worksheets for my 6 week brain-body reset.

(When I chose exercises for the program, my plan was to use a specific workbook for this portion, but it was recently discontinued! So, instead I made my own. šŸ¤—)

These all utilize bi-lateral coordination and can help to improve focus, coordination, attention, and patience.

Here is what we made today during the live call for my 6 week brain-body reset.

FYI: Daily practices take 2-5 minutes but once a week we do a longer practice with some art.

This one took about 15 minutes.

Here’s the process:
1. On a piece of paper draw an infinity symbol (figure 8) on one side of the paper and a large zigzag on the other. I used sharpies.
2. With your left hand trace the infinity symbol while your right hand is simultaneously tracing the zigzag. Continue fluidly for 1-2 minutes. You may want to tape down your paper for this.
3. Rotate your paper and do the same thing again only this time tracing the zigzag with your left hand and the infinity symbol with your right. Continue for 1-2 minutes.
4. Grab some markers, colored pencils, or crayons and color in all of the little shapes you’re tracing made.

This exercise does a lot of wonderful things for the brain as we utilize the bi-lateral coordination of asking our left and right hands to function independently. And then the coloring at the end invites deeper relaxation.

Come join us! We’re on day 3 but the program is non-linear so you can join us at any time!

If you give this a try, send me a photo of your finished piece. I would love to see it! by @coachlorriegray

Love how this one turned out!

✨Credit to @meditative.doodles for the design. Be sure to follow her! ✨

One of my favorite things right now is working with adults (usually women) who struggle with rest, relaxation, play, and being present for their own lives.

Part of the process: We do arts and crafts while listening to the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), along with things like building new habits. Not only is it effective, it’s FUN.

And that’s what most of us need. More fun. More play. Less optimization and self-analysis.

If you feel like you’re always ā€œonā€ and are struggling to relax, be present, or enjoy your life. Reach out. We’ll see if this protocol is right for you. by @coachlorriegray

My 6 week brain-body reset starts today!
In case you missed the previously shared info, here’s the short version:

These are short (2-5 minute) daily exercises you can do to build a better brain.

It’s non-linear, so it’s not a problem if you miss a day or want to skip a specific exercise for any reason. The point is to do as many as you can to help your brain.

6 out of 7 days the content will be shared as a video, audio recording, or text post. Once a week we’ll do a live call that will be recorded (Wednesdays at 10:30 Pacific).

You get access to the daily exercises by becoming a paid member of my Patreon community. I’ll share the exercises once a day inside there. Link is in my bio to join or comment on this post and I can send a direct link.

Message me with any questions.
