One year ago I gave away my right kidney. I am still honored to give this gift to my friend Sarah. On all the days I felt way more tired, or couldn’t recover from a workout fast, I was encouraged by the regular updates from Sarah:

“I’m getting to show up ways I didn’t have capacity for before.”
“It’s literally been an up level & healing in so many ways. I feel like a different human—still me, but enhanced.”

Me? I’m good. But I still take more naps. My overall kidney function took a major dip. Funny enough, the kidney Sarah received from me is actually performing stronger than my remaining one right now. But it’s still improving, and likely will continue improvement for another year.

I am not a drinker.
My new mantra.
I can make changes to the way my brain thinks and the patterns in which I have been self-sabotaging my life. These past 10 days have revealed what I am capable of when I step away from false beliefs. I’ve had to address my emotional trauma, people-pleasing tendencies, power-struggles, need for approval, addictive personality, anxiousness, depressed phases, mood stability, stress management, avoidance, focus and moooore. @coachlorriegray has me doing dynamical neurofeedback and light therapy twice a day to help me move into the present and reduce the brain inflammation caused by stress, drinking/diet, etc. Being my life coach, she also got a first-hand account as to how I go about my days, the ups, downs and all. I’ve learned so much about myself and will be practicing daily to keep striving for mental clarity and peace of mind. I know it’s going to be hard and sometimes near impossible with the temptations of touring but here I am now, being vulnerable and looking forward to aligning with my truest self. Thank you Lorrie, for that 💐☀️

Update #3: They are both in recovery! Chris is being transferred to his private room and Lorrie should get to see him in about 20-30 minutes. I’m not sure yet when I’ll get to see Sarah. So relieved yet it’s one of the longest waits of my life. Grateful and overwhelmed by all of your prayers, check-ins, and love. Wow. 💚💎
