Sid Cassidy helped change the sport of swimming forever by bringing Open Water Swimming to the Olympics, and this weekend he was officially inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame as a contributor to the sport. 🏊‍♂️🏅

Beyond his impact on Olympic swimming, Coach Sid Cassidy continues to mentor young athletes through Saint Andrews Aquatics, the competitive swim team and feeder program connected to Florida Swim School in Boca Raton.

And somehow, after all of those accomplishments… he still gave us one of the funniest and most wholesome moments of the night 😂❤️

This is what makes the swimming community so special — legendary coaches, lifelong dedication to water safety and competitive swimming, and people who never stop being themselves.

So proud to be part of something bigger! 💙

On April 18th at The Boca Raton, our founder Kara Cassidy and her husband Sid Cassidy joined the Blue Jean BFF Bash supporting the Best Foot Forward Foundation.

“It’s always about the kids” — and we’re honored to help make a difference by providing free swim lessons for BFF children 🏊‍♀️

We also loved putting together a silent auction basket filled with swim goodies + lessons to support this incredible cause.
Thank you to Best Foot Forward for everything you do to create brighter futures 💙

The inaugural Sid Cassidy Open Water Weekend honors the man who brought marathon swimming to the Olympics and created the 3K Knockout format now making its U.S. debut.

February 14-15, 2026 📍 Coconut Creek + Boca Raton
Saturday: 1.5K Metric Mile + 3K Knockout (freshwater) Sunday: 5K Challenge + 1K + 500m (ocean)
