Update: 160➡️140. A completely different physique. Same fighter, just a whole lot more prepared.

Kodak came to me at 160 lbs, and we worked together to get him down to 140. Next goal is to build muscle and strength over the next few months.

Proud of the work we’ve put in. This is what happens when you trust the process and stay committed.

Coaches/Trainers, are you prepping your fighters? Before my fighter steps into the ring, we’re preparing the body for the demands of competition:

• Dynamic movements to increase body temperature and blood flow
• Hip mobility to improve range of motion and movement quality
• Controlled stretches to help the body move freely without tiring him out
• Movement prep to reinforce positions and patterns he’ll rely on during the fight

Real time RDL form correction with my client. We slowed it down, fixed his positioning, and made sure he was actually hinging instead of just moving the weight up and down.

This is why I’m big on actually coaching my clients through their movements, not just giving them a workout and counting reps.

When a coach pushes you it’s to perform at your highest potential, aiming to bring out your best qualities and capabilities because they know your potential .

Most of the time a coach is pushing you because they see something in you that you don’t even see yet. To this day I am so grateful I was pushed and coached the way I was when I was competing . Be worried when your coach stops talking to you.

Remember A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be.
