Reframing! This is the idea that we have control over how we approach a situation. Often times our initial thoughts may not be positive, This is a worksheet that you can use to practice reframing negative thoughts into positive ones.

First Big West Conference as a coach! Very proud of how this group performed through so much adversity. I know the returning athletes are going to be back with a vengeance!

Performer of the meet goes to senior Malia Benson! Working through more adversity than most this year Malia stepped up and placed 2nd in the Big West women’s javelin. Malia will continue her academic and throwing career next year at UW where we expect to see even more success!

This past weekend was my final competition being a part of the Cal State LA track and field team. As I make the transition to a new school I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. The coaching staff at CSULA has helped me develop as a coach and as a person, teaching me many invaluable skills that are necessary to be a successful coach. The hardest part about leaving CSULA is leaving the golden eagle throws squad, for most of you is has only been a short time but you all have made a tremendous impact on me and it will be this group that I miss the most. I know you will continue to be successful as students and athletes. I look forward to this next step in my career and will never forget where I started with CSULA. by @coachvernoy

CCAA Conference recap:

Eduardo’s first ever NCAA conference meet. Made the finals and learned a lot about how to compete at a bigger stage.

Riyanna walks away with a new PR of 35.44m in a very competitive javelin comp she stepped up to make the finals.

Proud of this group and how they have progressed this season. Eduardo will be returning and with our incoming class Cal State LA is coming back to the CCAA conference championships with a vengeance 🦅 taken in California State University, Los Angeles by @coachvernoy
