Blue Seas Parade, Lennox Head | Completed 2021

A home designed to embrace its incredible coastal setting, where thoughtful architecture meets quality craftsmanship.

Working alongside the team at @createarchitecture_ and the engineers at @westera, we brought this vision to life with a focus on precision, detail and lasting quality. Every project has its own challenges, and this one was no exception! but the end result speaks for itself.

We’re proud to have delivered a home that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

The roof. 🔥 @jardine.design.space

With full-height glazing and a low-pitch design, conventional trusses weren’t an option on this project.

We worked closely with the engineers @westera_partners and roofing suppliers to achieve the architectural vision while delivering a practical build solution for our client.

Got a project that’s a little outside the norm? That’s where we thrive.

Timber brings natural beauty to coastal settings, but also ongoing challenges.

Warping, weathering, and decay can quickly undermine both form and function.

Pearl in Kingscliff, honours the coastal aesthetic without compromise. Through the use of our wood grain aluminium, we’ve captured the warmth of timber with the durability demanded from life by the sea.

Effortless beauty. Enduring performance.

This living space showcases craftsmanship and considered design — from the precision-laid stone fireplace anchoring the room, to the vertical timber battens adding warmth and rhythm to the walls. Expansive glazing frames uninterrupted views, while the open-plan layout and natural material palette create a seamless connection between indoors and out. A refined balance of structure, texture, and light.

DAYO Cafe! Opening 25th of July 🥳

My amazing clients from @georges.kingscliff who were already busy enough- have taken on another space! AND I’m so excited to be given the opportunity to work for them again and design the fit out of this venue they have taken over.

They are going to WOW you with their tasty food!

Behind the name… ‘DAYO’ is a word close to Filipinos’ hearts, especially in the context of hospitality and welcoming guests. Also referred to foreigners. Dayo are typically received warmly, showing the Filipino value of being hospitable and friendly to visitors.

In this case the beautiful owners of Georges Deli and now Dayo- ‘foreigners’ Johnny, Jerrika and Kris are a family trio from the Philippines, bringing you not only their tasty skills in the kitchen but their absolutely welcoming and friendly smiles that will make you want to return for more! These guys have incredible experience in the industry and I know they are going to kill it here in the Tweed!

The brief for Dayo started from simply a couple of colours they had in mind and the food they wanted to offer- predominantly being the mint green and a Filipino/Mediterranean flavour. From there I lead the design direction of having the mint and pink being the hero colours to compliment the style of venue but throwing in pops of blue, yellow and grapefruit pink.

Being a stunning river side location on the Tweed River with boats, birds and food I imagined a boat shed/milk bar style ambience. So off I went curating something playful and bright. @poongoat nailing our brief of art and branding which is taking it to another level!

We have only a 3 week turn around to flip this space and already with the amazing hands on deck- it’s starting to become such a vibe. Cannot wait to be sipping on coffee and eating yum food here soon!

Save the date! 25th of July
