Here’s some exciting news! “Secrets of Light” is on the Grammy ballot this year in the Country and American Roots, going for Best Contemporary Folk Album. 💿

7 years in the making, through lockdowns, breakups, moving to 2 different countries, with the invaluable help of my friends and collaborators and my own muses and personal resilience, this is an accomplishment I feel very proud of.

Yes, they’re all breakup songs AND they’re songs that helped me find my way back to myself. To my own voice.

First and foremost, major thanks to bff & co-producer @jordzan who always makes me laugh and encourages me to strive higher in all ways musical and otherwise.

@brendancarthy at @theorchardrecordingstudio in Enniscorthy, Ireland has been an island of creativity and friendship throughout the years.

Gavin Glass at @orphanrecordingstudios in Curracloe, Ireland got it all started when we recorded “Leaves”

Jim Hustwit at @larp_music in London has been like the sun shinning through the clouds. His amazing recording and producing skills have elevated my songs to where they are now.

Thank you to Pierre Duval and his magic on “Tonight” in addition to Igor Bolender who recorded my vocals on Secrets of Light (the song) and composed and played the string arrangements. Both of these songs got loved up down in the catacombs of Paris where Igor’s studio lies.

Chopin Residue at AES Show Nashville 2026.

After Copenhagen in May, the team behind the Immersive Edition brings Chopin Residue to the AES Show in Nashville, the Audio Engineering Society convention at Gaylord Opryland Resort, 30 October to 1 November.

In the panel Chopin Residue: Inside the Immersive Experience, Morten Lindberg (2L), Jacek Gawłowski (JG Master Lab), Michael Romanowski (Coast Mastering) and Mariusz Szypura talk through how a record without a piano was composed, mixed and mastered for a space with no front and no back. The Dolby Atmos edition will be played back on the dedicated system in the Genelec Immersive Room.

AI in music is making mediocrity easier!

Grammy-winning mastering engineer Michael Romanowski of @coastmastering shares his concerns about AI in mastering and what can get lost when technology starts making creative decisions for us.

For Michael, mastering isn’t simply about making a track louder, cleaner, or technically “correct.” It’s about listening, intention, emotion, and understanding what the artist is trying to communicate.
