Why, throw clay today? Because i need to be new at a craft again. lol. It felt wonderful being truly new at something. i thought I may have thrown in my early years but it felt so truly alien to me. The movement to get the shapes etc and a piece of clay that had other ideas.l of what it wanted to be. a crumble and save… and some marks to stand out lol. It was truly a newbie experience. by @cocktailsandthread

Always thankful to be included in an exhibition curated by @carolynlmazloomi - She is truly a force of nature and a champion for the preservation of the arts, people of color and history. For The Soul of Black Folks: 250 Years of Creativity, Leadership and Innovation exhibition- this is “The Bus Carries Everything by moi. A challenge that i made to myself to do more handwork. Challenge achieved, in addition to painting the artifacts, assembling, etc… I hand couched, embroidered, stitched and beaded. © 2026 Earamichia Brown. When you see a post by your dear friend…And you decide you need to whip up something also because it seems so easy. You start cutting and throwing things up on the wall. Then you get two cents from same friend - unsolicited lol. And said coin triggers your creative brain… and you end up down a design rabbit hole… and finally at 2am on a Saturday morning… You are done lol. @victoriafindlaywolfe #victoryblocktemplates #victoriafindlaywolftemplates #creativebrainunlocked note: orange is one of her fave colors lol… by @cocktailsandthread

When you have one of those friends - you know those awesome artists, creator, innovative types.. Yeah that friend. Well @victoriafindlaywolfe is one of mine. So i have been taking a break from all of the thinking and making that I have been doing and unable to show- because that’s how exhibitions and such work - and I said i would take a day to just play- and whip up something quick using her V block template set. But of course, it wasn’t just a quick whip together… 🙄 My brain decided it wanted to puzzle it out. So an entire day of cutting, swapping, and testing value. I am sort of at my center design. lol. i thought i was guaranteed a fast finish when i sketched it out the night before with the fabrics I pulled. Ask me how many of the original fabrics will make the design.. So yeah- that’s what’s in one of my design walls as of yesterday. #victoriafindlaywolfequilts #victoriafindlaywolfetemplates #easysundaysew #mindofacreative #creativeplay by @cocktailsandthread

It is always a blessing to be remembered. I don’t take it lightly. I have been working on spending less time online and scrolling and more time doing the things I have always wanted to do, but didn’t want to go solo. This year that has changed. With the word for this year- “THRIVE” I am working extra hard to do just that. No more putting things off, or waiting for the weekend. Pushing into new things and seeing what works and doesn’t. I am grateful for technology and the ability to connect with so many people. I am Thankful for all of the birthday wishes and blessings… from phone calls, to voice mail, text messages, posts, and just feeling in my spirit that you wish me a wonderful day. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Life is for the living, so #liveagreatstory - by @cocktailsandthread

At the start of this year, I selected my word for the year. This year is THRIVE. and with that word K promised myself to step out solo and do the things I have been wanting to do. I found this group of Dog hikers and decided to meet them on the next hike. So it’s February and a 2 hour drive later, I found myself with this wonderful group of dogs and their humans. All the dogs got along and their humans were so welcoming and full of stories and lots of doggie knowledge. Fast forward and this month they celebrate one year. It has been one of the best decisions and so glad that i found them. Happy anniversary #dallasdoghikingclub - Special shout out to 3 women and their pups- so glad you met and decided to take time out of your lives and bring us all together. #cocktailsandthread #beaugheesadventures #dallasdoghikingclub by @cocktailsandthread
