Emerge from the depths, allow your soul to be reborn in the stinging rain of the very storm which aimed to drown you. Realizing you are invincible, the dark skies and crashing waves will bow before you.
You become the commander. 🗡

I’m finding my path to brighter moments one step at a time, creating opportunities for myself to slow down and notice the beauty that is to be found in the small everyday moments nature is made up of. I don’t want to let the evil and negativity of this world win and drag me under its stormy skies. I want to break down the walls that have built up inside of me and let the light in.

Don’t even entertain the opinions of others who aren’t living your life. People will misunderstand a situation and stick by their assumptions. People will write character witness statements without even asking what the children are expressing, experiencing. People will lie for their blood/friends. But it’s up to you to still fight for what you know your child needs. Safety, stability, healthy examples. The peanut gallery doesn’t see what happens behind closed doors. They see the outward performance. Sending strength and encouragement to anyone facing this. Be strong and stick to what you know is right. Here’s to a new chapter. One that has been a long time coming. Here’s to reconnecting with myself, my children and my art without the storm clouds constantly present. I am ready to create. ✨ #artheals

Well, it’s been some years since I tried to be active with my art. But I am trying to crawl out of my cave and step into the light again, simply to reconnect with who I am at heart. Thank you to those of you who stopped by to show your support. It means more to me than you know. ✨ Thank you @christinas_therapeutic_touch for hosting us for @oldetowneslidellla Arts Evening! #arttherapy #artseveningslidell #originalart #louisianaartist by @cococapdeponart

Let there be change in this sinister world. Make your voices heard. Here is your reminder the right to bear arms isn’t just for old men. More women + minority representation within that industry needs to happen as well. Educate yourself, train and be ready to defend yourself and your loved ones. If you have a question about this DM me. #epsteindidntkillhimself by @cococapdeponart

For my heavily textured pieces I use @liquitexofficial -Acrylic mediums- Gloss Varnish which results in a beautiful, subtle shine and protective layer for the paint. This little piece is titled Closer to Heaven because I’ve always felt closest to God when out on the Marsh with the quiet stillness bringing me peace that seems to be quite elusive in today’s times. This piece is for sale please DM or drop a comment if interested :) #liquitexofficial #marsh #louisianaartist #louisianaart #painting #sunset by @cococapdeponart

There is something about watching a storm roll in over deep waves that makes me feel so alive. ✨ I still have some work to do on the sky in this painting but I am loving the emerald green hues blending in with deep Prussian blue. This little painting will be for sale soon. Painted with @liquitexofficial acrylics 💙🌊 #stormysea #seapainting #seascape #acrylic taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @cococapdeponart

I usually work in monochromatic blues so I definitely pushed myself out of my comfort zone with this color palette. I had a challenging time but learned some new things and actually love how this one turned out. 🤍 Sunset Seascape is sold but if you are interested in a painting, please send me a message. All proceeds from my painting sales this year go towards paying off some medical and dental bills. 🙏 love y’all! 🌅
