Join me Friday, 8/14 at @cocoon_philly for a shadow work workshop to learn how to integrate your shadow.

In this workshop, we will move through a guided process to transform shadow aspects of yourself. You can also use this process outside the workshop when you encounter shadow material in the future.

This will be a creative, compassionate and intuitive journey supported by:

🪘 A guided drum journey to connect with your shadow
🎨 Expressive art & journaling to explore your deeper parts
🌀 Kundalini-inspired movement to clear old energy
✨ A healing gong bath to integrate your energetic shift

This will be an intimate and deeply personal experience inviting self-acceptance and greater wholeness, held within the support of a group container for deeper integration.

The only weekly Men's Yoga class in the country. We meet every Wednesday for 90mins - 6:30pm @cocoon_philly for movement, breath, and brotherhood...huge shout-out to @kingjames for coming through during his first week in the city, and big thanks to @tiffinindian for hosting us after class. Our first Super Soul Sunday is happening this Sunday at Cocoon! ☀️

Three classes, back to back to back, building like a little soul-powered crescendo:

🧘 Mantra + Meditation
8:15am-9:15 | w/ @nicholas.thales
🔥 SoulFlow Yoga
9:30am-10:45 | w/ @jacobs.journey
💃 Just DANCE!
11am-12:30pm | w/ Dj Jabba Juice!

Each class is its own experience and can be taken separately, but together it’s basically a mini retreat morning with us 🦋

Each class is $20, or come for 2 or all 3 on a sliding scale of $30–40.

We wanted to keep it as affordable as we could, because honestly…once you’re here, you’re probably gonna wanna stay for the whole dang thing😆

Join Matthew and Krystina of @soothingsomaticsounds at @cocoon_philly for a 2 hour Sound Bath and a heart-opening Cacao Ceremony to relax into your body and journey deep within. ☕️⠀ ⠀ ⠀

We'll begin with an opening cacao ceremony, intention setting and prayer, and short breathwork practice.

You’ll then lie down to be guided on an immersive and guided meditative sound journey—a blend of Krystina’s layered, angelic vocal harmonies and crystal singing bowls with Matthew’s live-looped flute melodies, handpan, shamanic drums, guitar, chimes, rattles, rainstick, nature recordings and ambient soundscapes.

Together, we’ll create an evolving celestial soundscape that melts tension, releases stress, opens your heart, and guides you into the unseen layers within.

Sound journeys relax our bodies and allow space for deeper emotions, thoughts, and insights to bubble to the surface, as well as create a container for us to go within and meet the deeper and less physical aspects of ourselves.

We work with cacao for sound journeys because cacao is great for activating our spiritual and subtle senses, helping us to have a more ludic dream-like and somatic experience in meditation. These containers are for relaxation, meditation, integration, and cultivate a therapuetic space.

Krystina’s ethereal voice and soothing bowls create a celestial soundscape that melts tension and opens the heart, while Matthew’s live looping and layered flute melodies, percussion, handpan and ambient guitar weave an experience that guides us into our own formless nature and Dreamtime space.

Each week we gather for a shared slowdown, a group grounding, a collective prayer. We stretch our aging bodies, watch our wandering minds, and attune to the breath which gives us life. So much of our society, especially as men, encourages us to work harder, better, faster, stronger. Don't get it twisted, we are putting in some serious work every Wednesday night, but the goals here are softer - presence, attunement, acceptance. We are tapping into a different kind of power as we play with the limitations of our being, breath by breath, moment by meandering moment. Our next workshop is Saturday June 27 3-5pm at Cocoon Philly in Mt Airy. Not just for couples—you can sign up with a friend or family member as well. The intention is that keeping the same partner for the whole two hours allows you to attune more deeply with your self and create a foundation for connection that endures long-term. by @cocoon_philly
