I love this picture and had been wondering what to do with it. I love how the sunlight falls on me, my new hairstyle, and my joyful smile.
But on a second look, I realized the photo is lovelier because of the sun.
The light softened the shadows, warmed my skin, and made the whole shot glow. The angle helped too, but without the light, it would have been just another picture.

Here’s the thing: I didn’t create the sunlight. I just stepped into it. 🤍

Our lives are the same way. In today’s Rhapsody of Realities, “Stand Firm in Righteousness,” Pastor Chris teaches that life doesn’t get better by chance, human effort, or constant struggle.

It gets better when we stand firm in the righteousness God has already given us.

What stood out to me:
Understanding righteousness makes us skilful in the Word. Hebrews 5:13-14 shows that we grow into maturity through the Word of righteousness.

Righteousness sustains a life of dominion and constant victories. God wants us to stand boldly in the light of His Word.

Walking in the Word emboldens me. So what is my business with fear or an inferiority complex?

I’m reminded of an analogy by the highly esteemed Pastor Lanre Alabi: no one should be allowed to fail any question in Foundation School, and graduation should require a 100% score. Why? Because life can challenge that brother or sister and if they are ignorant of the New Creation reality that applies to that situation, the consequences could be fatal.

I don’t relate to God based on my performance, but on the perfection of the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for me.“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

We should keep studying and meditating on this truth until it becomes the consciousness of our spirits.

Let’s refuse to live in inadequacy or insecurity, because the truth is, we don’t belong there.

Keep moving.

Even when the movement doesn’t look like progress.
Even when the results are late.
Even when you have to move through uncertainty, disappointment, rejection, and seasons you never planned for.

You may not like what the journey is producing right now, but don’t stop moving.

Some things are being built in you before they ever appear around you.

Keep forging.

Not every step will feel victorious. Some steps are simply proof that you refused to surrender.

You cannot afford to quit now.

There is still something ahead of you that requires the version of you that is being formed right now.

So breathe. Adjust. Learn. Rise again.

But keep moving.

Your story is not finished.

Happiness Is Not Late

Happiness rarely arrives with applause.
It comes barefoot,
slipping quietly
through ordinary afternoons
we dismiss while waiting
for extraordinary tomorrows.

We postpone joy
like a meeting
we are too important to attend,
trading sunsets for schedules,
laughter for “someday,”
breathing,
but forgetting to be alive.

How casually
we hand our minds
to circumstances,
as though peace
were a hostage
instead of a habitation.

Yet the heart
can turn itself toward light,
the way a flower
does not argue with the morning
but simply faces it.

Perhaps happiness
is less a destination
than a discipline—
the holy art
of noticing
what heaven has already placed
within reach.

Our Lord Jesus Christ showed us this when he was visiting with Mary and Martha

“Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part…”
— Luke 10:41–42 (KJV)

Sometimes,

the miracle we seek
is not a different journey,
but different eyes.

For happiness
is often waiting,
not at the end of life,
but in the moment
we become aware
that Christ
has been walking beside us
all along.

Sometimes the biggest battles in life aren’t between right and wrong.

They’re between what feels right… and what God has said.

I’ve been reminded again that a life of faith isn’t built on good intentions or emotions. It’s built on the wisdom of God.

There have been moments when God’s instructions challenged my logic, my comfort, and even my emotions. Yet every time I trusted His wisdom over my own understanding, I never truly lost anything.

I only lost fear.
I only lost anxiety.
I only lost the illusion that I knew better than God.

Recently, I revisited Pastor Chris’ message, “Three Kinds of Wisdom,” and it couldn’t have come at a better time. His teaching on Sophia, Sunesis, and Phronesis reminded me that God’s desire isn’t just for us to know His Word, but to let His Word shape the way we think, interpret life, and make decisions every day.

My prayer is simple:

“Lord, let Your wisdom become the way I think, the way I decide, and the way I live.”

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Who told you that you don’t belong?

Maybe it was your past.
Maybe it was your background.
Maybe it was the opinions of people who never knew God’s plan for your life.

But God has never consulted the opinions of men before writing destinies.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” — Psalm 23:5

If God prepared the table, you don’t have to beg for a seat.

Walk in with gratitude.
Sit with confidence.
Speak with wisdom.

And when doubt whispers, don’t look at your past—look into the mirror of God’s Word until what He says becomes who you are.

If God said you belong, then you belong.

Today, I celebrate @adadvocate_.

A committed, dedicated, and exceptionally graceful young lady.

This week, she was called to the Bar, and my heart is so full because I’ve had the privilege of witnessing her beautiful journey over the past few years. I saw her gain admission into the university, then into Law School. What a testimony of diligence, consistency, and God’s faithfulness!

Shortly after she graduated from the university, before Law School. I was introducing my son to her and mentioned that she is a lawyer. He looked at me in complete disbelief and said, “Mom!? How can someone so young be a lawyer?” 😂

Her dad was there, and we all had a good laugh. It became the perfect opportunity to explain that all the great lawyers whose pictures he had seen also started out young—just like Ada.

From that day on, he began greeting her with a respectful salute. But, in true Ada fashion, with her trademark humility, she decided they should have their own special handshake instead. They still greet each other that way to this day, and it melts my heart every time.

Ada, I am incredibly proud of the woman you are becoming. Beyond your professional achievement, your unwavering stand for the Gospel, your genuine love for God’s people, and your humility are inspiring.

So, here’s introducing A.S. ITIE, Esq., Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, in her season of manifestation, and nothing can stop what God has ordained for your life, in the matchless name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I realized something while working in my garden today.

I was pulling out weeds and intentionally planting a vegetable I genuinely love to eat. The funny thing? It’s always grown around our house—I just never planted it myself.

It made me think about my digital life.

Just as gardens don’t flourish by accident, neither do our minds.

If we intentionally remove weeds from our gardens, why wouldn’t we remove distractions from our feeds?

The content we consume daily shapes our thoughts, influences our decisions, and often determines the direction of our growth.

So here’s your gentle reminder to do a digital cleanup:

🌱 Follow people who educate, inspire, and challenge you.
🌱 Train your algorithm by engaging with content that aligns with your goals.

No matter what you become in life, never lose your true identity. And by identity, I don’t mean just your name, background, tribe, upbringing, or where you come from. While all of those things have their place and should be appreciated, there is something far deeper and eternal about who you truly are.

As you renew your mind daily with the Word of God, make sure you are continually being transformed into the image of your One True Father — the Creator of the universe, the King of all the earth, the Great I AM, the Everlasting Father, the Giver of Life, the very essence and sustainer of all creation.

He is the One who holds everything together.
The One in whom there is no shadow of turning.
The God above all gods.
The Alpha and the Omega.
Yes… that is your real Father.

“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2

“But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” — Colossians 3:10

“For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” — Acts 17:28

“He is before all things, and by him all things consist.” — Colossians 1:17

“And ye are complete in him…” — Colossians 2:10

Never let the world redefine you outside of God’s Word.
Your real identity is not rooted in culture, status, success, pain, or people’s opinions.
Your identity is rooted in the Father Himself.

The more you behold Him in the mirror of the Word, the more you are transformed into His very image, from glory to glory.
