This Friday, 6–10PM catch me at @prismartsphiladelphia for the opening of the “Streets of Philadelphia” exhibit — a citywide love letter through the lens of 34 Philly photographers.

I’ll be showcasing never-before-seen images from my series “HOOP DREAMS,” that were captured in the heart of Kingsessing — one of Philly’s last-standing, predominantly Black neighborhoods.

Took a trip to the lab to work on a piece for a good friend. The largest print I’ve ever produced. There’s something powerful about seeing your work come to life and become tangible.

This one was an ill moment for me: a film image of the great Yasiin Bey, fka Mos Def, captured in Brooklyn, NY during the 20th Anniversary performance of Black on Both Sides (2019).

Deep gratitude to the @monadnyc agency for the space and opportunity to share my series, ASSATA this month in the “Timeless Tones” Exhibition. 🎞️

This work is a visual analogy of Black bodies moving beyond the surveillance of America—an exploration of freedom, resilience, and presence.

Grateful for the love of my family that joined me and to have connected with so many talented photographers that night, each carrying powerful stories of their own.
