This month I’m taking part in @voidedlux’s mass market paperback readalong! Here’s my tentative tbr… can I actually read all these? We’ll see 🤪 I can usually work through Koontz and McDowell’s stuff fairly quickly. I don’t have any prior experience with the other authors. Borderlands is an antho I’ve wanted to read for years….

What’s this!? I’m actually posting again?

As some of you may know, I’ve started collecting and reading the Goosebumps Series 2000 books—and I now have them all! 😁 I got the last one I needed (Slappy’s Nightmare) today. I’m going to continue reading them in order… next for me is Creature Teacher.

Did you read Series 2000 as a kid? What was your favorite?

New Joe Lansdale is always exciting! I’ve had this review copy for a couple weeks, but I’m only just now getting a chance to read it. Oops. Loving it so far!

Hi! I’m back from vacation & thought I’d post what I’m currently reading: isn’t this stack summer-y? ☀️🌴
.
I started PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION down in Florida, and it’s a great poolside read! I’m excited to really dig into the book of John Green essays. I’m reading BOY PARTS (a very strange and literary stab at the modeling scene) and FIFTEEN HUNDRED MILES FROM THE SUN for Pride Month. I hope to fit in a few more books before the month is over.

I recently read my first #HarlanEllison book, 1980’s Shatterday—a collection of horror, sci-fi, & fantastical stories. I became an immediate fan! I thought I’d share this since Ellison’s birthday was yesterday. Do you have a favorite Ellison book or story?

Today’s #HarlanEllison’s birthday, may he rest in peace! Here’s some of my vintage Ellisons, along with some MacDonald paperbacks. I think they go so well together. Lovely 😍

I recently read & finished this—gave it 4 ⭐️! I’m not usually a romance reader, but I’m open to recs. What are some of your favorites? After THE LAST HOUSE ON NEEDLESS STREET I desperately needed a cleanser 😓

@ejlarocca recently sent me an ARC of this, his upcoming novella release! I recently read it and loved it, giving it 5 ⭐️
.
Here’s the synopsis:
.
Sadomasochism. Obsession. Death.
.
A whirlpool of darkness churns at the heart of a macabre ballet between two lonely young women in an internet chat room in the early 2000s -- a darkness that threatens to forever transform them once they finally succumb to their most horrific desires.
.
What have you done today to deserve your eyes?
.
Thanks to the author for the ARC! This releases on 6/1!
