Reading my way through the current regime. Getting back into the swing of posting my reading activities here! ✨ 📚
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hey everyone,

So we’re back with #ConstantKingathon after a 7-day pause.

For this post, I want to show you my most-anticipated Stephen King books, which I’m hoping to get to in 2020:

1. Hearts In Atlantis: I’m actually starting this tonight for challenges #6 (since it’s a collection of interconnected stories) and
#7 (since it is part of the Dark Tower series/multi-universe). I will be reading it with my friend Zack from @run_for_book_cover.

2. The Outsider: I still can’t believe that I haven’t read this one yet—despite it being 2018’s most anticipated book for me. I am super intrigued by the premise and want to dive deep into the story and find out who “the outsider” is.
3. The Institute: Last year’s most-anticipated book, and I still haven’t read it. Shame on me!

4. Rose Madder: Many of you commented on my previous posts that Rose’s husband is your favorite (or one of) King villain—and I SO want to know why!

5. Gerald’s Game: Won’t lie—the Netflix movie is what made me more interested in the story (I only saw the trailer). It’s also fascinating that this book, almost entirely, has only 1 character.

6. The Stand: I already read the complete and uncut version of The Stand back in 2017—but the version you’re seeing here is the decluttered one. And since we’re still in an outbreak lockdown, I thought it would be a memorable experience if I read it in 2020.
7. Cujo: I once tried to read Cujo as part of a buddy-read with my friend Patricio from @patsonfire, but couldn’t proceed after the first few pages for a personal reason. But this year I’m ready to finally get to this classic tale of horror.
What are YOUR most anticipated books by Stephen King? Tagging a few people for fun—consider yourself tagged if you weren’t.

Ol' Rat Salad, Rat-Ah-Tat-Tat, @long.rat.reads tagged me in the awesome #forever10 tag where I list the ten books etched in stone for my all time favorites. Ten books that are unequivocally in your top ten, these are immovable stories.. 10) Poe. Everything. If I had to pick, The Tell-Tale Heart. Never has a story been so perfect.
9) Herman Melville's Moby Dick. The greatest American Classic.
8) The Terror by Dan Simmons. Moby Dick for the new generation
7) The Fisherman by John Langan. The epitome of sophisticated-horror
6) Drood by Dan Simmons. Drugs, obsession, phantoms, and Dickens
5) The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers. There is madness in art.
4) William Peter Blatty's Legion. A supernatural crime mystery.
3) Caroline Kepnes' 'You' and 'Hidden Bodies.' The greatest antihero since Alex Delarge.
2) Thomas Harris' Hannibal. Still the best conclusion of any book series.
1) Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons. Revolutionary horror.

Here's a stack that proves the importance of reviewers and influencers - I purchased all of these books because another reviewer either loved them or at least posted about them on here or Twitter (these reviewers / recommenders are tagged in the photo). I will be forever grateful for the bookstagram community for encouraging me to branch out, and try new books. Some of these are still on my TBR, and I'm looking forward to reading them. What great books have you found because of other reviewers?
