“What is the difference between 🤪funny and 🎩stylish?” The answer lies in this post! #caricature #funny #weddingentertainment #choice #customcaricature taken in Van Landingham Estate by @codyscaricatures

disclaimer*
no prom goers were harmed in the making of this video...THAT DIDN'T WANNA BEEEEEEEEEE

these proms were a rare and distinct gig type where we had multiple artists, so the students could pick who they wanted and trust me they knew who was roasting people 🤣 but yeah, one of the rare situations where I just roast everyone

if you've seen my setup before, you know I only roast with consent, ie I would normally have a banner up which lets people choose between "stylish" and "funny" (it's my way of knowing if you want me to flatter you and draw a cute likeness you can show off, or if you want me to go all out and "do my worst" like all those viral Hawaiian artists that everyone's seen now)

Inspired by #edwardsorel

Clients saw the epic #mural he painted for #monkeybarnyc , and wanted something similar done to put up at their wedding

Process was a 50% scale fully hand painted black and white mural (on my own walls lol), colored mostly digitally, and then they printed it out to put up at the #biltmore for their wedding!

It was cool to work on something for so long, then kind of forget about it for a month (if you're an artist you know how you need your eyes to 'take a break' after a long piece before you can appreciate it')

Kind of worked out perfectly, because I like this a lot, definitely makes it past my inner #caricature critic! taken in Biltmore Estate by @codyscaricatures

🎩 It's been almost three weeks since I spent the day drawing guests at the mint museum's derby days, presented by the @youngaffiliates of the @themintmuseum 🌹

this is ny third year doing caticatures for it and I always have a lot of fun putting some extra flair on the drawings (everyone comes so dressed up. 💃)

I was inspired to make this reel after I saw all the really cool photos that the wildly talented @shawns.view took that day and posted (almost all the ones of me were taken by him) and a fun clip from @clt.living
as well :)

Fashion Sketches for a fun birthday last year! Sometimes it takes me awhile to get around to posting event pics, so I'm not even sure that @coriedulken is in this, but I have their name in my notes for this post so I'm tagging 🤞

Oh, and thanks for bringing my drawings to tbe party @carolinepenland1
