A 5 year break from social media gave me a chance to be less performative, work on my skills and hone a unique perspective. I’m admittedly an introvert who can wear a welcoming mask, I can be extremely reclusive when I’m working and deep in thought. It’s a new era, though, and founders can’t shy away from the algorithm so here I am and what I have to give-without seeking validation and a willingness to be misunderstood. With Jay-Z’s concerts at Yankee Stadium and the controversy around his freestyle about Target and Kaepernick on stage, plus Fanatics Fest / 40/40 Club Pop-Up I decided to share a concept I created a while back for a new Jay-Z album I titled “CARTE BLANCHE” - I couldn’t quite get to the right gatekeepers.
