Kali Malone 6 Plates

Over two days, I photographed composer and organist Kali Malone (@hotscorpions) at St Martin-in-the-Fields as she prepared and presented All Life Long. Through photogravures, this series reimagines the tonal weight of her organ works, where texture, form, and pressure become a language for sound.

A series of six prints is published in the latest issue of @bluemoonmagazine , accompanied by an article by Phoebe Campion (@phoebe.campion).

What lies in the space between two people? What can the landscape we share reveal to us?

In 2020, when the world stood still, my brother and I began making images — asking questions of ourselves, of our time and place.

This series offers a glimpse into that dialogue over the course of 3 years — into how we confront our fears, contradictions and desires. A conversation between my brother and I at a time when everything, and nothing, was in motion.

With the mirror of our surroundings and each other, we turned inwards. Here, we observed, reflected, and tried to understand our place in the world and how we move through it.

The trees swayed, shadows deepened, and we stepped into unknown space. This is for my brother.
