Beyond excited to share that I’ve been awarded funding from @aceagrams to develop my practice as a contemporary dance artist.

TÜRKIYE OCT’24 🖤

Was lucky enough to head back to Türkiye with @ceydatancdance. Was such a dream to perform both BIRLIK and BACI with the most incredible people. As always it was so inspiring and learnt so much. Plus a little to much fun as per ⚓️💃💍

Blind Trust ~

This work is an intimate, wearable piece designed to be experienced through the body rather than observed.

A wearable torso piece and blindfold, formed from soft leather and wax carvings cast in sterling silver, are worn with the help of another person. The blindfold removes sight, allowing other sensations to come forward - touch, pressure, breath, and movement become more pronounced.

In the accompanying film, the piece is placed onto the wearer and carefully adjusted - tightened and loosened in response to her body and its reactions. This
exchange is guided by consent and attentiveness; each adjustment is both offered and received, shaping the experience in real time. The process is slow and deliberate, requiring trust, care, and sensitivity between both participants.

The blindfold is then introduced. As vision is removed, awareness shifts. Sensation becomes heightened - the presence of the piece, the body, and the surrounding
space felt more acutely.

When the other person steps away, the dynamic changes. The wearer is left alone within the experience. Her focus turns inward. Her breathing deepens, and her movements emerge instinctively - no longer guided, but self-directed. She begins to move, to explore, to feel herself fully.

The work moves from a shared moment of trust and consent into a private, internal state. It is not intended as a spectacle, but as a sensory and intimate encounter - centred on embodiment, awareness, and the shifting relationship between two bodies and the self.
