🎨 Collab Project Showcase with Neon Squid 🎨 Our designers and illustrators had an exciting time collaborating with children’s publisher Neon Squid on a pair of fantastic first field guides. We carefully balanced facts and fun across 32 eye-catching, informative pages to create the perfect introduction to these awesome animals for budding zoologists – making appealing and accessible non-fiction books is second nature to us!

Axolotl, written by amphibian expert Dr. Jessica L. Whited, comes to life through the illustrations of Bethany Lord. Axolotls are renowned for their adorable smiling faces, but there’s so much more to discover about them – did you know they can regenerate lost limbs?

🎨 Collab Project Showcase with Hoo Zoo 🎨 Do you remember the 2024 news story about Cinnamon the capybara, who gained fame after escaping from a zoo in Shropshire, UK? Our designers teamed up with Hoo Zoo, local author Tracey J. Morgan, and viral artist Hercule Van Wolfwinkle (famous for his “Rubbish Pet Portraits”) to tell Cinnamon’s incredible story. Using Hercule’s witty and cleverly observed illustrations, we brought Tracey’s narrative to life, turning this daring animal escape into a fun and engaging 24-page picture book.

Greco Westermann worked with our design team to illustrate Capybara, written by Argentine ecologist Dr Julia Mata. We can all agree that capybaras look incredibly cuddly, but can you believe they are an over-sized cousin of the guinea pig?

⭐️ Collab Artist Highlight ⭐️ Introducing illustrator Jake Hill ✨ Jake grew up in North London, but escaped to the South coast to study illustration and decided to stay by the sea, swimming (almost) every morning! Aside from his love of drawing, Jake is an avid reader, a meticulous collector of comics, a terrible, but improving pianist, and a passionate player of games. There are few things Jake enjoys as much as walking in the fresh air of Exmoor national park, but one of them is playing Texas Hold ‘Em poker. He probably has an Ace and a King.
