Numa sessão esgotada, Évora_27 apresentou no dia 18 de julho, em estreia nacional, no Salão Central Eborense o concerto “MA”, do artista francês Maxime Houot, diretor artístico do Collectif Coin.

Músico, cenógrafo e artista multidisciplinar, no espetáculo “MA” Maxime Houot transforma o espaço num campo de movimento e perceção: vários projetores de luz suspensos no centro da sala movem-se em padrões rítmicos, criando um bailado hipnotizante acompanhado por uma composição de música eletrónica.

A luz e a eletrónica operam aqui como instrumentos de meditação ativa, revelando espaços de deslumbramento e convidando cada espectador a construir a sua própria interpretação do universo luminoso que o envolve.

On 18 July, to a sold-out audience, Évora_27 presented the Portuguese premiere of “MA” by French artist Maxime Houot, artistic director of Collectif Coin, at the Salão Central Eborense.

A musician, scenographer and multidisciplinary artist, Maxime Houot transforms the venue into a landscape of movement and perception in “MA”. Several suspended light projectors move in rhythmic patterns, creating a hypnotic choreography accompanied by an original electronic music composition.

Here, light and electronics become instruments of active meditation, revealing moments of wonder and inviting each audience member to create their own interpretation of the luminous universe surrounding them.

`Ataraxie`
This installation by @collectifcoin & MaximeHoute

Ataraxia means “peace of mind”—a quiet state of peace amid the noise of our times.
In a post-pandemic world, this installation raises the question: What does inner peace really mean today?
In a dark room, an almost trance-like sequence unfolds for around ten minutes: mechanical, dancing arms structure the space, draw lines, form cube-like shapes of light, and disintegrate. A universe folds in and out again. And you stand right in the middle of it.

Up to fifty people share this space—in the midst of a bright red vortex. A silent, collective experience emerges. Rays and algorithms become closeness.
