From an open site to a fully developed design! As a part of this year's Colliers Engineering & Design and MG2 Intern Design Program, interns Colette Reitenour, David Zhang, Hannah Ban and Meina Lin took on a real-world design challenge: create an accessible public restroom for a community park.

For their project at Magnuson Park in Seattle, the team envisioned the restroom as more than a facility. Their design creates a node connecting the parking lot, picnic shelter, boat launch and surrounding wetlands, while incorporating wayfinding and gathering spaces to strengthen connections between visitors and the landscape.

Their process considered everything from site conditions and circulation to accessibility, airflow, materials, codes and constructability - bringing their ideas from early sketches to detailed drawings and renderings.

We're proud to see our people making a difference in their communities!🙌Our Municipal Division Operating Officer Paul Sterbenz led the fifth annual Sterbenz Run for the Pickles 5k & 2k Pup Strut in Warren County, NJ, bringing together more than 130 participants to support Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc.

What began as an initiative between Paul and his son James in 2020 has grown into an annual tradition, raising an incredible $27,000 this year to support individuals with disabilities in the community.

We're proud to share that Bryana Duley, Interior Design Designer II, has been named ASID Pennsylvania East's 2026-2027 President!👏

Bryana's involvement with the chapter began as a student representative while completing her graduate degree at Drexel University and has grown through roles in professional development and president-elect. Throughout her board service, she has championed continuing education, mentorship, student engagement and industry collaboration, including Student Career Day, which connects hundreds of students with design professionals.

Her leadership extends nationally through her selection as a 2025 ASID Ones to Watch Winner and Scholar, participation in ASID's National Mentorship Program and service as a first-round judge for the 2026 ASID Student Portfolio Competition.

Up next, Bryana will return to her alma mater, West Virginia University, as a panelist at the Fall 2026 Industry Day on October 21, sharing insights on professional relationships, AI in the creative workplace and being a woman in the industry. While there, she will also be mentoring students through one-on-one sessions, providing portfolio reviews, career advice, interview guidance and general mentorship.

Help us fight hunger with giant sculptures made of canned food!🥫✨Our team is participating again in this year’s Canstruction Rochester, a super creative, annual food drive where community members design and build artistic structures made entirely out of canned goods.

With the theme, “Oh, the Places You CAN Go,” teams will pull inspiration from beloved children’s books to form this year’s can-based structures, once again being housed at the Strong National Museum of Play. Build day will be on October 17, with the museum open after for viewing and voting until October 31!

A great day on the course for a great cause!⛳Our team - Martin Zimany, Matthew Nowelski, Tyler Krause, and Ryan Walters - had a blast at the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) East Penn Section's 30th Annual Golf Classic at the Whitetail Golf Club in Bath, PA!

The tournament supports engineering education through the Robert L. Brown and Robert Donovan Scholarship funds, helping provide opportunities for the next generation of engineers.
