After the rain and seeing what the rain can do, it’s nice to see those patches of blue sky again…. by @coloradochaplaintracy

Jeanine the J9 Lion is ready to go with the troops to pass out candy for the community of Pagosa Springs! by @coloradochaplaintracy

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it.

The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.

Come, see the glorious works of the LORD: See how he brings destruction upon the world. He causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭11‬, ‭NLT‬‬ by @coloradochaplaintracy

The Colorado J9 @cong.j9 is a department in the @coarng_1860 Colorado National Guard that helps war fighters build resiliency to be able to sustain strength in the mission.

Chaplains are a part of that. As a Battalion Chaplain, I get to be right there with my soldiers, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tonight, Jeanine the J9 Lion is reminding me that building that kind of resiliency means building community, and building community involves trust and transparency in doing life together. And Battalion Ministry is that place. by @coloradochaplaintracy

Maple, from @hopeaacr has been coming to visit our troops with her handler Tina for the past few days. Everyone gets a smile on their face when she comes, and no one can pass by without giving her pets. Thankful for these little moments that bring such joy! by @coloradochaplaintracy

Good night, sweet dreams. by @coloradochaplaintracy

It’s the time of year when God paints the prettiest skies. 🎨🖌️ by @coloradochaplaintracy

Good morning! 🌄

Sometimes you just have to take a picture of the painting in the sky. by @coloradochaplaintracy

Today’s ruck run was hard, but it’s all for a purpose. Keep going. You can do hard things. Much harder than you think. by @coloradochaplaintracy

I’m so thankful that chaplains have Religious Affairs Specialists by our side.

I can’t speak for any other chaplain, but I would certainly be lost without the team around me.

It’s so much more than taking care of a chaplain when I leave my Bible and iPad behind after chapel and a busy weekend. It’s about being able to share the load of taking care of our soldiers and taking care of each other. Ministry is a lifestyle, and life can be heavy. We need each other. We are made for community, not to do it alone. by @coloradochaplaintracy

Sometimes I think I’m not good enough to do what I do. I know I’m trained and equipped, but the imposter syndrome hits. When I came on board with the Honor Guard team, it really hit.

The higher the call, the higher the mission, the more is required.

Honoring the fallen is sacred. It is an honor to be trusted with this kind of mission. by @coloradochaplaintracy

Early morning chapel prep, because sometimes the concept is there but not the words, until the last minute. by @coloradochaplaintracy
