Went out to check out Sunday Vibes (v10) a couple of times this past week, a really sweet @jwebxl line out at Obed. It was hot as blazes but still managed to put the moves together in overlapping links; will get out for the send as soon as it's not 82 and sunny 🤞

While out there I did manage a top on the climb shown in the video. "Waveform" (~v7), to the right of Sunday vibes, is a great line as well. What the video doesn't show is my terrifying lip encounter that ensued when the video ends. I climbed higher and when my hands we're at maybe 20ft (the boulder is bigger than the video indicates, per usual) I realized I wasn't going to be topping out on the leaf and dirt strewn slab. At this point I was on not slimy holds with no chalk, smeared feet, no pads under me... the works. I was on the wall pumping out for 5 minutes and 15 seconds before hard committing to the down-climb to get out of the predicament I'd found myself in! Rarely have I been so happy to have my feet back on the ground!

Just had my 4th session of #tennesseebouldering since I arrived here from Santa Fe. Its been hot but I've been excited to get outside and start exploring new places. Fall weather is coming soon so trying to acquaint myself with the areas nearby.

Today I went back to Black Mountain to see what I could find and try some of the established lines. There are a bunch of cool blocs, with a ton of potential for development, as well as some fun established problems. Got to do a couple repeats and spent a bunch of time cleaning up a new pretty-hard arete, which I didn't send yet... I'll be back to that as soon as the rain stops again :)

Video #1- Flash go on "Grounded" v6. On-the-fly beta thankfully got me to the top.

Video #2- Some unlisted bloc at the Graceland area. Cool moderate with awesome movement. Topout was jugs after the camera crash :) Maybe v5

Well, we've officially arrived in the #southeast after selling our house! Yesterday we got our moving truck unloaded and life organized a bit here in Tennessee, so naturally I went for a first session of bouldering this morning :)

First time checking out the #lillyboulders and had a blast. Some cool hard blocs to work on as my body acclimates after the last crazy weeks, travel, moving, etc. This was the first boulder I pulled on this morning.

Quick end of day send on a classic squamish v3 the other day. Walked past and had to take a ride on it. Been having lots of fun climbing and snagging some cool sends and this is the ONLY video I've got so far. Hopefully get a couple more today b4 flying back to NM tomorrow. Having a blast out here with @jschall0

Went out with my hermigo @tony.stidham.412 to the Beast Pulse boulder recently. There is a little v4/5 line that uses an upper hold, by eliminating it I did a low traverse that was much harder. A v8/9 that utilizes some tiny (4-5 mm) crimps.

Just a fun little contrivance for anyone who just wants to climb a rock.

Went out on a solo mission a couple days to explore... found nothing. But I did manage to climb a couple of cool new lines recently established by my homie Cody and company, including this cool v6 bloc.

Not sure what the name is... I'll find out from Cody and make it known :)

Fresh lines with coordinates for ya'll!

Welcome to "The Island Boulder" (problems all not-so-lovingly named after the Epstein ordeal). A new-old bloc on the mesa that now has lines established!

GPS coordinates are above and you can drive to a parking area 150 yards from this bloc. This sector is also home to the Legends Never Die Boulder and Zorro Ranch.

From left to right on the boulder (and the video roder):

1) Suicide Watch (v6) FA
2) A List-er (v8/9) FA
3) Get Roofied (v8/9) FA

"Beast Pulse" V10 FA

""Beast Pulse" is the literary metaphor for the underlying rhythm of raw, untamed human desire, survival instinct, or latent ferocity operating beneath the surface of civilization."

A week ago or so, my good friend Cody told me about a sick roof/cave bloc he had discovered, said it was mega and hard, and told me I should go have a look. So, it was off to the hills with mi amigo @tchadx to go investigate. It did not disappoint.

Fifteen powerful moves that, through the middle unrelenting, culminate in a final shutdown little thrutch that proved to be the red point crux. The setting and quality are great; an amazing line that I was SUPER psyched to take to the top.

Thanks to Cody Snyder, local crusher, developer and friend who shared this treasure with me. Also, thanks to Chad for the good times out there, the footy, and for working to suss the beta with me. Chad is also an expert landing designer, as you may know, so this bloc is now equipped with the most comfy landing a guy or gal could ask for 👌

"Get Roofied" v8/9 FA

We have been on a roll getting some of these long-known-about blocs established lately! Fun morning out with @nolan_perrymann and Nick. This one is great; amazing movement on a sweet line.

@brian.mier recently sent another undone bloc, "Zorro Ranch" nearby. Wanted to come up with names for this boulder that went along with the Epstein theme :) And its kinda a roof climb so....

For those of you who see this and wanna have a go, I'll post GPS coordinates soon, as soon as the other 2 lines next door go down; should soon have another cool 7ish thing and a 9/10 too.

A couple from this last weekend.

With weather hitting a bunch of the SW we settled on going out to Unaweep Canyon near Grand Junction for a few days of bouldering for my hermigo's @tony.stidham.412 bday. Even when it was raining all around us our little corner of the world stayed dry! Fun climbing and sleeping under the stars with @josephsstoneworks @griffith_gareth @_big_boi_g_

My leg is getting pretty functional after my achilles tear that happened end of December. Still far from 100% but it feels awesome to not be in the boot climbing now. I've been wearing a shoe a couple sizes too big in order to not create pressure/pain on the achilles.

We climbed a ton and got very little footy...but here's a couple from the weekend.
