I’ve had this toy for years and finally made it into a puppet!! I go to the @washingtonfaire every year with @jessicamarzipan and relive our cosplay days with more whimsy and less spandex. This year I wanted to make a puppet to bring joy to her kids and the other kids at the faire! I didn’t get a ton of video, but they loved it and kept trying to pet him despite the sharp beak.

You can always build fun things onto toys, I love looking for weird toys out in the wild that I can make into a creature. Use your free will! Make weird stuff! #rennaissancefestival #puppet taken in Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire by @commanderholly

Did you know you can just paint on walls?! I got these paint markers and went buckwild. I also love folk art and was inspired by a ton of different designs from Scandinavia and the Pennsylvania Dutch. I’m happy with how it came out! Decorating and doing fun art projects that make my space unique makes my happy. If you live in an apartment you can do this too! Just put contact/shelf paper on the walls with a coat of gesso on top and go ham! ✨💚#diy #folkart taken in Seattle, Washington by @commanderholly

Some of my physical art and watercolors. Once on a project for Maker Studios (rip) where I designed and made a Kaiju for Pacific Rim with @jessicamarzipan, I met @realgdt and he told me my art was beautiful. I’ll never forget that, and it really does encourage me to keep creating. With the rise of AI, it’s important we keep making physical art so that we don’t lose it to time. 🖤

Frankenstein your own extremely cursed creature at Make Your Own Cursed "Lafufu" with @commanderholly THIS SUNDAY, April 19! Learn how to give new life to old plush and doll parts left to languish at your local thrift store! A little cut here, a little stitch there goes a long way, and these are practical skills you can bring to other areas of your life... or you can just keep making cursed dolls. That's fine too! :D by @commanderholly

Spring!! I’ve been busy with school, but my friends and I have been playing a lovely Humblewood game every few weeks and decided to make those viral pasta slugs, but vegan, and with foraged nettle pesto. I’m finally getting to run people through “Descent into the Dark” that I wrote a few years ago for @hitpointpress. All my friends are so talented! I’d post a recipe but everyone I think winged all of the ingredients (get it??)

Bonus we gave one to the chickens and they loved it!
