Friday night lights bring out the best of our school spirit! 🏈

Great seeing the Miami Carol City Chiefs and Miami Central Rockets take the field for a night of competition, tradition, and community pride.

These games are about more than football. They’re about supporting our young athletes and the communities that stand behind them.

Every city has a story, and every chapter is shaped by the people committed to moving it forward.

It was a pleasure attending Mayor John H. Taylor, Jr.’s closing State of Opa-locka Address and recognizing his service to the community.

A city’s progress is measured not just by what it builds, but by the opportunities it creates for the people who call it home.

It was a pleasure attending the City of Miramar’s State of the City Address and hearing about the progress, priorities, and vision for its future.

I stopped by Walmart after my workout this morning just to pick up a T-shirt. I left with something better: encouragement from Gabriele and Donna, two generations of our community, both showing love and support.

These everyday moments remind me how fortunate I am to call this community home. Wonderful people. Generations connected. A future worth building.

Let’s win this together! 🧡💚 by @commissionergilbertsoffice

Healthy communities start with informed communities.
On World Stroke Day, we’re raising awareness about stroke prevention, recognizing the warning signs, and the importance of seeking immediate medical care when a stroke is suspected.

Take care of your health, know the signs, and share what you know. It could help save a life.

Building stronger communities starts with investing in our young people and giving them the opportunity to see what’s possible.

The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project and Miami Dolphins are bringing youth and law enforcement together through the Police & Youth Conference to encourage mentorship, understanding, and positive relationships.

We’re not just teaching young men how to tie a tie. We’re helping them understand the importance of character, responsibility, and believing in what they can become.

Proud to speak and participate in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project Tie Tying Ceremony.

The investment we make in our young men today helps shape the men and leaders they will become tomorrow.

Service is about leaving our communities better than we found them.

The Miami Dolphins’ Jason Jenkins Days of Service continued that mission by helping beautify the community garden at State Senator Oscar Braynon II Park at Rolling Oaks.

A meaningful way to carry forward Jason’s legacy of community service.

Our stories deserve to be told, and for generations, Black poets have used their words to make sure they are heard.
This Black Poetry Day, we celebrate the writers who have captured our joy, struggles, resilience, culture, and dreams while leaving a literary legacy for generations to come.

A legacy of service deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Join me as we celebrate Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson and officially rename the North Dade Regional Library in her honor.

This is more than a name on a building. It is a celebration of leadership, education, and the lasting impact of someone who has dedicated her life to our community.
