In elections, people want to talk about other elected officials, other candidates. That's usually because they don't have ideas or a record of their own to run on.What I want to talk about is you. Whether you can afford groceries. Whether you can afford healthcare. The education your kids are going to receive. Whether you can afford housing. How much money you're spending stuck in congestion. Whether we're funding wars we didn't vote for.That's the difference. I have ideas, and I have a record. It's why Congresswoman Wilson endorsed me. by @ogilbert3

Our economy runs on the people who show up every day. The nurses and home health aides who take care of us when we're sick. The workers who keep our tourism industry running, the lifeline of Dade County. The construction crews who put up the buildings you drive past every day. These are our neighbors, our friends, our families.So when Florida's senators support sending Haitians back, they need to ask themselves who they actually represent. For millions of families, the hardest question is not what happens today. It is what happens tomorrow.If you are raising a loved one with a lifelong disability, you already know that to be true. Too many parents and caregivers spend their days wondering what happens next. Who will keep the housing stable? Who will keep the healthcare going? Who will make sure the people who care are still there once they no longer can be?Right now, families are left to hold together a system that was never built to work as one system. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, housing, and transportation all run on their own rules, and a parent can spend decades just trying to keep the pieces connected. When that parent gets sick, grows older, or passes away, the answer is too often a crisis instead of a plan.That is why, when elected to Congress, I will be focused on fighting for families facing struggles like this. It was an honor to worship with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church family in Miami and Pastor Dr. Gaston Smith.I shared a simple truth from Scripture: faith without works is dead. Our faith gives us hope, but our work is how we put that hope into action. Together, faith and work will carry us through whatever challenges lie ahead.I also spoke about the endorsement of Congresswoman Frederica Wilson.
